Prince, kid, mother, sister? You are confusing me man, and I read the books. There are two primary girl characters at this point.. Sansa is the oldest of the Stark sisters, she's the red-head that the King wants to marry to his pompous son, Prince Joffrey. Sansa has a little sister, Arya, who was the one sword fighting the butcher's boy with sticks. Unless you are talking about the final scene in episode one where Bran goes out the window. That was Jaime and Cersei, the latter being the Queen, and the former being her brother. And yeah, Assassin who was there to kill Bran in that scene. I'm not gonna reveal that part, but it should be obvious seeing as he wasn't supposed to live.
Enjoyed the second episode... they had a good flow going between the many different story lines. My only regret is that it is only an hour. Every episode leaves me wanting more, which I guess is a good thing especially considering I know the story. I loved the scene at the Lannister breakfast table where Jaime asks Tyrion if he's taking the black. Dinklage is perfect for this role.
He's my favorite character by far at this point. As for the dire wolves, I HATE that bitch for not telling the truth whan it could have saved not just her wolf, but the shame on her family. I haven't read the books, so no spolier please, but I cannot wait until the queen gets offed. Do you think Pam's soap opera discussions sound like this?
Yes, I meant that scene. I don't know I thought she was the queen, but looked a little young. It confused me. Haha. Thanks for clearing it up. I don't like her brother at all.
This is just one of a long line of reasons people end up hating Sansa. She was stuck in the middle of a tough spot given her pending betrothal. I won't spoil anything for you, but I will say, get ready for heads to roll. Nobody is safe in Martin's books. He won't think twice about breaking hearts.
I was laughing my ass off during that part. Who get's to wake up hung over in a dogs stable and proceed to smack the shit out of a prince?
The bolded part will be a big part of this thread. It seems about 50/50 read it/didn't read it so far.
No problem... its easy to lose your place with all the characters and plots criss-crossing. You tend to get that youthful glow about you when your brother is mounting you like the bitch you are. lol Yeah, Jaime comes across as an arrogant douchebag, so he's easy to hate. I fear we are going to lose something in the storytelling with the perceptions, but it will be interesting how his story unfolds. I'm not going to ruin any fun for the story down the road, but you learn things about different characters and it may change how you feel about them. One of the things I loved about the books, being told in multiple perspectives.
This has to be a joke. Dude. Jaime Lannister and Queen Cersei are twins. I'm not sure how you thought they could possibly be mother and son. If the show didn't tell you that they hired the assassin, it's probably because the show doesn't want you to know who hired him yet. Did you miss the part in which the blade was described as far too fine for a man of his stature? That made it obvious that he had been hired by someone with more money. The question you should be asking is, why give him such an exquisite blade to perform the murder when any would suffice? I'm guessing that one wouldn't occur to you, though, given your queries about the episode.
You thought she looked a little young to be the queen, yet you asked whether she was his sister OR HIS MOTHER. If Cersei looked young, how old did Jaime look to you? 3?
I've been trying to get people to put a SPOILER above ANYTHING, regardless of how minor or vague it may seem. Even mentioning that Martin will break hearts is close to getting you in a different mindset than you naturally would be.
Sorry if I was a bit harsh. I just don't want him to keep talking about how he's very intelligent and then having to ask questions like that. If you're not bright, you're not bright. Own it. People are happy to explain things, but at least know who you are.
They were definitely questions my pet pekingese can answer but he could have simply been distracted by nude Russian hockey player pics.
That was a great scene , HURRAH! Loved the second episode, really nicely done I wish the 'sex education scene' had gone on for longer, my wife was watching with me last night
