Ok, thats my opinion. I had to look twice at how many times Cro had been targeted. Revis at #1 , no surprise. Asomugha and Samuel don't make the list as they weren't targeted enough times.
PFW Cornerback Rankings http://footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2011/best-cornerback-charting-stats-2010 edit: gus beat me to it while I was formatting instead of taking a screen shot. I guess we know who the smart one is.
heh This is the second site we've seen that does in depth rankings of cornerback play. Both have ranked Cromartie very favorably, but I suspect people will dismiss these rankings as well and continue to claim Cro is terrible.
:erhm: less of the Queen , thankyou. Funny thought it was a twitter feed though. Keeping TGG at the forefront of info. Funny thing with Cro's play, to me he played much much better when Revis was hurt, and I'm not sure why??
If we are going to rate how good a player is based on success rate Mark Sanchez is the third worst QB in the league. He has a 54.8% completion percentage which puts him at 29/31. Oh sorry that doesn't fit what we want to believe.
I thought Cro played well at CB. However, it didn't stop him giving away several dumbass penalties in almost every game.
They also posted a thread for the worst cornerback charting numbers- http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2011/worst-cornerback-charting-stats-2010 DeAngelo Hall appears near the top of the bad list. I remember numerous people at TGG calling Jay Cutler a scumbag and an asshole and what not after he said he'd keep throwing at Hall if he faced him again. If you are going to put any stock in FO's pro-Revis and Cromartie numbers, then you have to also say that Cutler was not wrong. Hall just happened to make a few nice plays that one day. He has mostly sucked for several years now.
Asomugha just didn't qualify because no one challenged him. The sad part is the few times they did challenge him he was battling a severe high ankle sprain that limited him last year. So without a doubt the duo of Asomugha and Routt are better than Revis and Cromartie. Also when your third Cb and safeties were as bad as the Jets in coverage , that skews Jets starting cbs numbers a little bit. (why take a chance when you can take a sure thing attacking the weak spots. Let end the debate when you add the safeties to the equation, Raiders secondary blows Jets secondary out of the water. Only thing Jets cb duo is better in fathering kids out of wedlock.
Hey everyone before you answer this bullshit, take the time to say hello to our resident fake persona. Remember message boards are only serious if you take them serious. Raiderjoe is a fraud.........just remember before you answer his schtick as a serious response. Hey Jeaux you are not dead yet, here is hoping you die soon............... I mean your obvious fake troll account not you in real life. I mean wishing death on a completely fake persona in real life would be wrong.
