True, but the draft becomes trickier without knowing what free agents you can and can't keep, who you might pick up, etc. That this makes this fight dragging into the regular season just a bit realer. Sucks.

Just my opinion... Can't see how, regardless of what they say they agreed on, anyone sides with the owners here. It seems like: Owners: "We have expenses. Give us one billion dollars." Players: "Show us why." Owners:"Fine. Give us 800 million." Players: "Show us why or we decertify and let the courts figure it out." Owners:" "Nope." Players decertify Owners:"Look....we agreed to all sorts of stuff and they still decertified. They never wanted to really negotiate." I know it's way oversimplifying, but still. Can't see many fans siding with the owners.
