I had to stop following Sanchez, all he did over the weekend was RT that it was peoples' birthdays and pictures of babies in Jets apparel.

Thats fairly interesting. But then again, he may just be playing it up for the camera. But it's not exactly material Tanny can hold over his head to force him to stick around for a lower number, nor is it any sort of proof he will be willing to sign here for any less than the maximum offer he can possibly receive.
Yeah, I thought about that, too. But, then I thought about how he's had plenty of opportunities to play it up for the camera, and he's been very, very, extremely careful with his words. And then I thought about the fact that on top of that, he didn't have to touch the topic at all or explain it, given the video wasn't about football, and if he wanted to play it up, he still could have measured his words much better if he wanted a more general message... Like using "if" I'm back, or sorry about the Steelers stuff, guys, it will be taken care of soon, making people have to infer or speculate his meaning, and kept it very generic, not mentioned a team or signing, etc. In my opinion, he's shown himself to be very capable of measuring his words, so I do have to wonder. But like you mentioned, no, I don't think it's possible to be taken as an indication he's coming back for some kind of major discount, nor do I think it gives Tanny any leverage, but it does potentially give us some clues, again, especially given how good he usually is at measuring what he says. I find it fairly interesting he'd even put a statement that strong out there, one that is that concise.
