Absolutely!!! Green Bay is my 2nd favorite team behind the Jets. I was actually a Packer fan before I was a Jets fan. I started rooting for the Pack in the glory days in '61 or '62 when I first started watching football. Then Joe Willie Namath and the AFL came along, and I loved the way they played. I was really excited this year that I might finally get to see my two favorite teams play in the big game this year and knew I'd be happy either way, then the Jets had to freaking blow it. It may be just as well, because I think GB would have beaten us again.
I'm going to be honest, I haven't followed one pre-SB discussion/previews since the Jets/Steelers ended. I'll watch the SB, but I won't "enjoy" it.
i haven't been paying much attention to all the hype and media, but i'll definitely be watching the game on sunday.
I go into the superbowl with one hope every year: the game is close and it comes down to the wire. If I can get wasted and eat awesome food with some friends while the biggest game of the year's on - success. I couldn't imagine what it'd be like if the jets were in it.
Yeah, but most of them blow. They are way overdone. Plus, if there are any good ones you'll see them 50 times over the next few months.
I will turn it on as soon as they kick off so I can see some of the commercials, but will not watch it all.
I'll be checking out the ads, and keeping track of my Super Bowl pool to see if we win any quarters, or the final score. Other than that I could really care. We would have matched up very well with the Packers. Oh well.
I'll watch it while partying up with family and friends. Just an excuse to get together, play boxes, drink, eat, be social and watch someone's big screen for a few hours.
Come on now. Anyone who doesn't watch a Super Bowl, ANY Super Bowl is a crybaby who shouldn't be watching ANY football. Follow another sport. waaaaaaaaa the jets lost in the championship game waaaaaaaa i can't even bear to look at the super bowl cause it makes me sooooo sad. waaaaaaaa. Get over it, and let's host the game next year and make it loud as hell and impossible for anyone else to beat us at home next january.
THIS..... except we're having the party again (well, helping my parents do it at their house for the 3rd year). Not very excited this year, but will have fun regardless. Keg of beer, bushel of oysters, ribs, wings, game projected on a big screen outside..... was planned either way, but it could've been taken to another level ......Oh, the possibilities........ sigh :shit::jets::drunk: It sucks the JETS aren't in this year (more than any other, simply because this is the 1st time I truly thought they should be the AFC team) but some of you guys sound like sappy emo chicks that just got dumped.
Come to think of it....the only other SB I would have trouble tuning in to would be a DOLPHINS-COWBOYS SB. It has nothing to do with the JETS losing, it's just these teams are all teams I just Despise.
I'll watch but the game would be much more interesting if ... Troy Polamalu and Clay Matthews had a loser-shaves-his-head wager.
What kind of football fan would you be if you dont watch this game? Its the Superbowl for godsake, granted it would be much better if our team was in it but cmon The Superbowl is the grandaddy of the greatest sport of all and has been pretty damn good the past few years!
