He also can replace Edwards at WR.

Man, there's so many Nnamdi haters in this thread. Embrace the Asomayhem.

I just don't think Cro would be any good at FS.

Nnamdi would teach him how to play safety. Just by smiling at him.

Cromartie is not on the same level as Asomugha. C'mon people! Cromartie got picked on quite a bit this season. He had his good games and overall he's a good corner but he's not on the level of Darrelle Revis which is what some of you are implying. Why do I say Revis? Because Asomugha is the equivalent of Revis. Do you guys think Cromartie is on Revis' level? Not even close.

Champ Bailey is a realistic safety option to be honest, or corner, if we keep braylon/holmes'/harris

Safety is a way bigger concern than CB, imo.

If by realistic you mean "not realistic", sure.

Champ's a pretty good, big name player. He's going to be expensive.

    This isn't Madden guys.

If we got him, it would be at the expense of losing more players in key positions, and making do with some lesser players.

And he'd likely spend the season shutting down the opponent's second best receivers while they throw at their tight ends and backs all day.

But, we'd have the best corners of every other 8-8 team. Sounds like a plan.

Agree with the first part, not the second. Tight ends and backs would see increased receptions, but I think teams would start to target Aso a lot more than he's used to.

Having Revis and Asomugha would sound cool, but in reality its a poor use of money. We have needs elsewhere that are higher priority.

True- that's what happened to Cro. He looked big in SD, because he was the strong corner there.

He's still one of the better corners in the league (number two under pro football focus's numbers, for example). He's without a doubt a solid starting cornerback and those are few and far between. He won't sign a 5 year contract but I could easily see him getting 2 years/$12 million or more.

Such is the appeal of the chosen one, Asomugha.
