If Thurman wanted to go, I don't like denying permission. I'm not crazy about that, but we don't know what the specifics are.

Jackson probably has some pretty good job security here, even if he takes the bump in pay and title the way Oakland has become a revolving door of coaches it's probably in his best interest to stay here. Plus likely losing Aso doesn't really seem like it's be an appealing place to go.
