Refs were not the reason we lost the game but 2 calls(Well 1 non call) bothered me the most 1) Harrison late hit on Sanchez being a no-call. Give me a break....Sanchez SLID....he cannot be touched late, especially with Harrison aiming at Sanchez's helmet. Should have been a personal foul no questions asked 2) The "Roughing the punter" call. That was more so a flop by Kapinos if anything but even then Westerman went for the block, and caught the end of Kapinos leg. Kapinos spun around like as if someone took a shotgun and fired it up his butt. Its just stupid that going for a block and catching a leg being left open like that gets the same yards as running and tackling a punter. At best that is a 5 yard penalty, there was absolutely no malice being done by Westerman there.
LMAO.... I'm actually going to make a video of this and some other ones. Just the reaction of the JETS sideline makes my blood boil. They saw it, the LJ/HL saw it but just refused to flag it. WHY? It was the exact same thing that happened in the last game vs the STEELERS when they had 2 guys covering the tackle.....I will put that in the vid also. yeah, yeah...I know..get over it blah blah...but if we're going to keep getting ass raped by the fukin NFL every time we play certain teams, i'm gonna make some fukin noise about it. - GB, 2 horrible calls giving GB the ball - NE (45-3), The amount of ridiculous calls against us and allowing NE to get away w/shit like Brady IG, False starts etc... - Pitt, Scroll up to the reg. season game and now this one. - Indy, They get away w/ so much shit that it's comical because everyone in the NFL knows it - NYG, Preseason and vs other teams they constantly get some incredible calls. Now, take a look at those teams.....No, there is no conspiracy. The NFL doesn't have this fukin "master plan". But it's obvious that there is some bias. I mean shit, the fukin Tuck rule was invented ON THE SPOT!!!
Or, you know, the refs can just call the rule that's on the books to prevent that. By the way, I was just watching the replay of the (non) fumble, and it's incredible: LT has a perfect angle to push Gay out of bounds at about the 15, but gets crushed from behind, hit in the back, and taken out of the play. I missed it the first time around, but a proper flag there takes the TD off the board--though that's just icing on the cake that was the mismanaging of that call by Eddie Hochuli's crew.
Silly little thing last night I picked up on. Ed Hoculee (sp) had his mic on and did the usual thing of telling us who/what/why and how, THEN does the first down signal with his massive guns, right at the same time a gust of wind gets into his mic - Whooosh! The 2 synchronised together made me laugh. As you were
It was 4th and 2 on that roughing the punter call so it still would have kept the Steelers drive going.
yep, 5 or 15 didn't matter. I watched it a few times and while it looked like part of his thumb moved there was clearly no visual evidence to overturn it even if it was reviewed. It just more frustrating, how do you go unblocked vs a team w/ a bad ST and whiff the ball. Also, the fact that the COLTS just did the smae dumb shit to us 2 weeks ago! ugh. Wow...
So..tell me if you will.... How Hitman Harrison does not get called for diving on a QB that has already slid to the ground? Or...After calling Smith for hitting a defenseless receiver, 25 does not get called for hitting Cotchery while in the air? Not blaming the refs, they're number 3 on the list, but.....if you're going to call them square, I'd be curious to know how you explain those two 15 yard non calls
Agreed....Nantz and Simms showed the replay and said "watch the movement"....I watched....saw nothing...they SAID nothing....I think they realized there was no movement and how could a ref call something on that which didn't happen ? Free beers and wings to anyone who links to a YouTube insert that shows me that D'Brick moved.....I'll mail you a moneyorder...go for it.
Actually, we're lucky they didn't call a penalty on Sanchez for illegal contact to Harrison's helmet.
The replay board at Heinz Field was terrible but it still looked like the fumble on sanchez should have been an incomplete pass.
