The team was prepared. At least insofar as the Defense was a result of piss poor tackling and a shitload of Holding in the first half.

Rex needs to manage the offensive staff.

That's the one real place where this team can be criticized

I think he was talking more globally than that. Referring more to the bravado and swagger. That was the context I took from it.

It's Rex's fault everyone on defense suddenly and miraculously forgot how to tackle in the first half?

That's exactly what it was. The quote was more in the vein of "if you don't like the way we do things, then suck it."

It's nuts. The more we won, the further we got in the playoffs.....the more people were starting to swing off Rex's nuts. I think Rex has a point. He knows what he's doing. Nobody had a harder road to the big one then them. They came out (5) points short & never quit despite the situation. Judge that!

I think Rex did a great job with the game plan yesterday. In the first half the D was in place to make the plays and just did not tackle. They had a couple of nice holes but mostly the D was in place what else do you want Rex to do? The plan worked in the second half because they made the tackles.

The offense is a little different, Like normal we started out in a hole and had to work out of it. I am not sure if that changed Schotty's plan or not but they did nothing to help the D by giving them a rest in the first half. a few first downs would have done wonders.

If players aren't tackling well in AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, that's on the players not coaching. Having Mendenhall dead to rights in the backfield several times and still letting him get 7+ yard? That's on the players.

The plays were there to be made, the defensive coaches did their fucking job. This ain't on Rex.

How can you not understand what he is talking about here. Some idiot reporter wrote the same thing and I could not understand how badly Rex's comment was taken out of context, now here you are doing the same thing. You have absolutely no idea what he was talking about or referring to. Where do yuo get your information from? Seriously. Or are you just so dense that you can't understand what people mean when they make clear points?

I would hope that Ryan did not mean his own coaching effort is above criticism, since I would disagree with that. But I agree with the others here who think that is not what Ryan was referring to.

Rex is a disappointment...I feel a more competent coach would have had this team prepared better

christ it's loaded with talent and free agents we acquired this year to put us over the top...well guess what? we ended the same way...unprepared in the afccg is a big flag that rex is the real problem with this team

    You're a disappointment.

Back to back AFCCG appearances with a young QB and a schitty OC in his first two seasons is a big red flag?
