You're an idiot. He's a great coordinator and a lousy play caller.

Not going to waste my time with something that will have no impact on Schottenheimer's future.

Why? Was it his fault that the defense sucked in the first half?

You are aware that the chief job of a coordinator is to call plays, right?

That's so f-in unfair. They never had the ball in the first half... Oh, cause he tried to throw it in on the 1? Gimmie a break. They showed when they tried to run it for a yard that its was no gimmie.

Exactly. I think it's very telling that people on this board are killing Schotty after we were down 24-0 and our defense was getting raped over and over again. We made Mendenhall look like Earl Campbell, and that's Schotty's fault?

Why aren't people killing Pettine and Rex for that defensive showing in the first half? It was atrocious. Arm tackling, no intensity, and no one made a play, and people want to fire Schotty for that?

There's plenty of blame to go around, but come on, let's be honest. The Defense was AWFUL in the first half.

That's just it; you have the best o-line in the NFL, odds are if you run it two or three times you'll get in. He got the Jets into a situation where they only had one chance to run it in from the one, and it so happened they couldn't on that play.

Personally, I think it was a pretty awesome job by Schotty to end the "getting a head coaching job in 2011" speculation so early in the off-season. Solid job putting the team first, there.

Break in a new offensive coordinator just when your QB could be about to join the Elite Top 10 in the NFL ? Sorry, I'm not going to do that just because of 2-3 questionable calls tonite.

Getting rid of a OC means getting a new playbook.
