Jets-Steelers AFC Championship discussion thread

Its almost as if the Jets forgot to show up tonite. Especially with the Kid hurt, this one really doesn't look good at all.

SB win is all its about. AFC champ loss. SB loss Div loss all the same

 

time to up the bodycount on the black and yellow. We ain't winning this game, but we damn sure can hurt them going into the SB. Scorched Earth time!

 

Pretenders, no you don't get to the AFC championship two years in a row being a pretender. What we are seeing is a Pittsburgh team on top of their game and a Jets team not performing as well as it has most of the season. End result so far is a blow out.

However it is a 4 quarter game, but the Jets are in a deep hole.

Never thought I'd see the day where there'd be a let down game in the AFC Championship. Simply pathetic.

 

We are not a pretender....BUT...with a whopping 16 SNAPS in the whole fucking half...yeah...no...not winning this game.

I don't care if Rex has a speech Lombardi would be proud of...not happening. Not this year. I feel it.

I knew we got over excited playing the Patriots and forgot that this game was bigger than the patriot game. COME ON!!!!

 

I know the Steeler defense is good, but Schotty absolutely sucks tonite..

The Jets were exposed today. Their defense, while good, can be exposed by a good offense that doesn't make mistakes. There offense, well, it's crap.

The Jets got by the Patriots because the Pats shot themselves in the foot, and they have a god awful defense. Combine that with a once in a lifetime gameplan and you have yourself a win.

Ultimately though, the Jets are an above average team. Nothing more, nothing less. Unfortunate too, because after this year the Pats won't have any competition in the division. The Bills are the Bills. The Dolphins are headed south, and this Jets team was built to win the super-bowl this year, no longevity or long term plan.

Congrats on a great season guys. You deserve to be in the AFCCG, but no further. Best of luck next season.

(On a side note, please don't give me crap over last weeks game. You guys beat us, fair and square, plain butt-whoopin'. Ultimately, our poor defense came back to bite us. As evidenced every single year, defense wins championships. We didn't have that. The Packers and Steelers do.)
