Just woke up... Headed out to the game with a friend of mine (who is a Steelers fan). Paid way too much for my ticket, but after 40 years without a Super Bowl, I wanted to be there. It's going to be brutally cold, but I can't wait!
This is going to be a long day but I am going to enjoy the build-up, savour it, anticipate how it will feel as that opening kick-off is fired into the air. I will enjoy the NFC Championship game, then start pacing as our time comes. And this is our time. CAN'T WAIT.
I love threads like this. It may feel like the game is 3 days away, but it's not, it's actually right around the damn corner! Too bad I cant sleep. Just fell asleep for a little over an hour before my wife getting ready for work woke me up, but it's all good, because the game is right around the corner and I'll find some time to sleep from sometime soon up until the Packers-Bears game
This couldn't be more fucked for me. First day back at work, it will be Monday morning here, after 4 weeks holiday. I have a TON of work, judging by all the emails and phone calls that start with 'sorry to bother you on your holidays but...' I'm seriously thinking of avoiding this place and the news and watching it when I get home. I have never before achieved that feat, always weakening and checking the result.
Don't do it! There's nothing to match the feeling that you are part of something when watching a live event. You may have a horrific day afterwards, but maybe that will make it even more special, in a perverse sort of way.
J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! :beer: I am so excited! I hate work, but I work Sundays normally 6am to noon. Today its 6am to 3pm. And I am actually happy to have something to do. I can't wait for the game. Hopefully this kills time. The Jets are the better team. Couldn't say that last year heading into the Championship game. Now they just have to play like it.
I am at work till 4pm. Woke up like it was christmas morning at 5am. I hope sanchez claus leaves a present for all of us today there is strength in unity my brothers
