I work Sunday - Thursday 2nd/3rd shift hybrid which prevents me from watching any games except the 1:00 starts. I took two days off to watch our Jets on my 52" TV. Their home opener to Baltimore and the 45 - 3 drubbing. I am not usually superstitious but I intentionally worked today citing my track record this year. I was able to watch a stream on my 15.6" Vaio but obviously that experience isn't the same. I am very tempted to take next Sunday off to watch the Championship game but now I've psyched myself out with this superstitious bullshit. Now I ask are any of you guys superstitious and what would you do in my situation?
my sanchez shirt is 2-0 so ill roll with that next week but honestly superstitions are stupid take off and enjoy the game
lol you contest the size of my TV? That's not the point. It is a 52" SonyHD but it's still rear projection. Regardless I can't drink and I will be consistently interrupted to do work, at work.
Just messing around, but seriously I too am superstitious. I will only drink Grolsch beer during Jets games. I don't like it at all, but it is the only beer I cam find that has a full green bottle without any label on it. Greenest beer I can find.
DITTO...you can always DVR it or record the game another way, I'm in the same boat, if I sit to watch the game they'll lose. I just do odds & ends & I'll check the score every hour or so, surprisingly they have won when I've done this, so I'm destined to be a Jet fan who can only watch them on DVR.
I can get a stream and watch it at work. My boss is a football fan (dolphins) It's clearly not the same. I am still on the fence here....
I sat there watching the game and didn't move since the jets got the lead since I'm superstitious like that lol...got up one time to open the window cause it got hot in the room and the patriots score their first touchdown. didn't move an inch since and more ass is still hurting right now....
Dude, do you really think you going to work affects how the jets play in pittsburgh. Do what makes you happy but how many championship games do you get to see in your lifetime.
Haven't shaved or washed my Revis Jersey, also refuse to talk the the girl I broke up with the day before the Colts game, yeah I have it bad
c'mon, you gotta watch the game. fukk superstitions this year, wether you have them or not, they do not apply to this Jets team, they are going pull this thing off on sunday. you have to watch them do this live on the tube.
Don't worry about it, the only thing that matters is this: my last post in a game thread was the first half of the colts game...save for a missed fg everything has gone our way since.
