Is there anyway both of these guys arent on the roster next year ? I think Ellis performance tonight alone, and Braylon as of lately these guys both deserve to be paid.
Ellis depends on salary. I don't see an easy decision if you need to choose between Edwards and Holmes.
I sincerely hope Tanny can work his magic and bring back Ellis, Cro, Harris, Santonio, B.Smith, and Braylon.
I think he will, I honestly do. I wish this thread could get locked or just ignored, because I don't even want to be thinking about the off-season right now, and no one else should.
I'm not worried about it right now. Both of these guys are on a mission and they play in the AFC Championship game in less than a week. I'll worry about it after the season is over
Ellis is going to be tough because of his age. It depends on what kind of contract he is looking for.
ellis should.he is still servicable and should retire a jet.i was on the holmes before edwards camp but amstarting toswitch over.wtching his press conference you can really see that he truly loves being a jet where holmes comes off more as a hired gun to me.i'd rather have the guy who's heart is in it
Optimistically, I could see them both staying. Ellis should retitre as a Jet, Braylon seems as if he really likes being a Jet. They both may be willing to have cap friendly contracts. This all from my rose/beer colored glasses I am wearing tonite!
I could see Ellis coming back quite cheap honestly. Many of the guys on this team just love it here, and truly look like theres nowhere else theyd rather be playing
Ellis played one hell of a game. I am so proud to have him playing for the New York Jets. He had a look in his eyes tonight that I have never seen before. Fuck yeah!:up:
