http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ It's worth reading, basically Welker goes out of his way to use the word 'foot' like ten times in a press conference, in a pretty clear effort to bring Rex's feet thing into the conversation before the game. Before anybody gets angry, it's worth noting that I believe Ryan and Welker have a pretty good relationship. I don't think there's real malice in it or anything, and I hope Rex can just laugh it off. I'm pretty sure Rex can laugh off just about anything, but I also have no idea how awkward it is being in a national spotlight a month after your wife's foot stuff got dragged off the internet and into the light of day. I think it's pretty funny, and it should defuse the storyline, which the media otherwise will love to run with, that the Jets are the only ones doing any talking this week because the Patriots are too busy preparing. I hate that, it's such garbage, it takes just as much time to stand at a podium and say nothing for twenty minutes as to stand there and vent about how much you hate the other team, 'talking' and 'preparing' are in no way mutually exclusive. But anyway, an interesting and hilarious development.
yeah well done. I never went to footpixies or whatever to see his wifes additional videos but it's classic.
They don't. Funny or not, the Pats don't worry about that sort of stuff. They just let their talking be done on the field.
Now I feel better about us trash talking cause for us it was like we were feeding the fire but now they're fueling ours.
This is the Patriot way: don't openly talk trash and make fun of the other team, just be subtle and sarcastic about it. Well-done though.
Omg Welker just made Rex focus more on this game. No chance now Rex takes this team light. Rex may coach a perfect game now just because of those comments
If he opens his mouth again, Rex will just line Revis up on him, and have Revis kick the shit out of him at the line for 60 minutes. Welker should talk as little as Cro because both can get abused easily.
That's pretty funny I have to admit. It's getting so stupid that it's about time to just have fun with it.
What's this? I thought the Patriots 'did all their talking on the field!' Shocking!!! Since Pats fans have been posting that all day, go away now
Have a heart. It's just too hard not to for an entire week. On the surface you'd think Ryan would laugh at it but I wonder if it's a little too close to home. Well played Welker!
If it were reversed the media would be slamming the Jets. From the start of that it was a personal matter and Rex looked very shaken up when the story broke. This would be like a Jet player talking about BB cheating on his wife. PFT- "How was practice today" Cromartie- "It was great, but what kind of asshole cheats on his wife"?? Similar to that...lol Fuck the Pats!
Haha love it! Trash talking should be a moral obligation in this league... not something to despise...
