Well with all the cheating and refs in the Pats pockets I don't know why you're all so hopeful.

So he turns most of them down, but he chose to do Uggs? That returns us then to the original point, which is that he is clearly gay.

LOL You havent sniffed a SB during the lifetime of the vast majority of posters here.

  5. I'm not a big proponent of all the trash talking...but ya know what? Against this team I have no problem with it.

Too many times over the last decade I've watched this jets team go up against Brady and co, w/ no chip on their shoulder and far too much respect. I then watched Brady,Bruschi, Harrison and others do little things during the course of the game to mock the Jets..as they coasted to a 14+ point win. The Jets would show very little emotion or fight postgame and it just became accepted among everyone that the Patriots were "above" the Jets.

    No longer.

Regardless of what the media and Pat fans tell you, many teams/players other than the Jets have pointed to the Patriots smug and arrogant demeanor during the course of games. And we all know how their fan base can be! If this is the way the Jets show they are fighting back, so be it! Sure, I'd rather they save all the talking for the field..but historically this team has played better when it has a chip on its shoulder, and if this is what gets them up for the Pats and playing w/ emotion I'm all for it.

After splitting with the Pats the last 3 years, the Jets have earned the right to say whatever they want to the media. Pat fans act like the jets don't even belong on the same field..but if you erase that 45-3 score, this is currently a very fierce and evenly matched rivalry. As far as I'm concerned the Jets have earned the right to say whatever they want.

As for Cromartie...I don't know how much talking he does on the actual football field..but I've never heard him say anything "Incriminating" to the media at any point in time. For a guy that usually seems to lack intensity...he sure seems fired up! If he plays w/ a chip on his shoulder on Sunday and backs up his freakish physical abilities w/ some passion...that can only mean good things.

I love that. The only way that would have been better is if he said "your a retart"

You're a fairweather Patriots fan from Jersey (pathetic) and you're most obviously a complete idiot. If you're going to call someone a dumbass, at least learn how to spell.

Not hard to do when you factor in for almost a decade they started the season 6-0 playing the (Bills, Dolphins and Jets).

    That was 7 bye weeks.

I'm up in Masshole Nation quite often, seems like all the media, radio, newspaper, are the biggest homers in the country.

I never hear them say a bad thing about any Boston Sports team. In the malls there is more anti-Yankee gear than actually Red Sox or Patriots gear. It's pretty funny.

We don't have any of that crap at the malls down here, you'd have to buy it from a street merchant down here.

The Browns and Bengals like this.

  13. It is comical to note the contrast in sports radio in NYC compared to Boston. In NYC, boston franchises are rarely referred to unless they are the current opponent by hosts OR callers. In Boston they spend as much time talking about the Yankees and Jets as they do talking about their own teams.

The media has criticized the Patriots over the years easily. But who is going to be down on the Patriots this week? I mean really? They're favored for a reason after all.

I just thought they had some funny and spot-on observations about Ryan and I thought the warning if the Jets do win was hilarious.

Not this week, I mean every time I'm up their. It's like pulling teeth to get anyone to say anything bad about the Sawx, Pats, and Bruins.

Extremely Rare, I'm just up on weekends usually, I'm not their for months on end, I'd friggin kill myself being surrounded by that accent.

NY being at least a 2 sport town in all major sports plays a role in the Jet hate too.

No not this week but they do. I visit the NY area a good deal and listen to 1050 and 660 on the way down to hear the New York perspective. It is funny how Yankee-Mets and Giants-Jets fans go at each other even if they are from the same area.

Yeah, Yankee fans shit on Met fans for basically being a joke right now.

Giant fans are insanely jealous that since Rex and Mark arrived we've been in the playoffs each year and they haven't. With Fatcessa leading the charge the Giant fan hate has been taken to a whole new level.

He didn't take the job because he didn't want to be Parcells pawn. He knew that even if he won Parcells would get all the credit. Ego, probably!

Just like Parcells was the genius who got the Dolphins back on the map a couple years ago, but when the ship started to sink he rides into the sunset and lets Sporano take all the blame. Belichik knew he didn't want any part of that.

He's a business man, and he needed some leverage. Nobody said he was a saint (At least I never did). In the end he got minimal infrastructure money from the state and built his own stadium. And he didn't squeeze any PSL money from the loyal season ticketholders.

I hate the Patriots, but do you think the Parcells to Jets thing happened without the Jets actually contacting Parcells on the sly beforehand? Are you that naive?
