Red Sox fans loathing the Yankees for decades of dominance, torture and incessant mocking and the same Boston sports fans doing the exact opposite to Jets (and Dolphins/Bills) fans. In 2004, I stood between angry Yankee fans a couple of Red Sox fans during the ALCS viewing at a bar on Long Island. They were two smaller gentlemen who were just being passionate about their team's first meaningful victory over their rivals. After seeing five years of non-stop mocking, arrogance and ultimate hypocrisy from those same types of fans, I nearly regret my decision to prevent those two Red Sox fans from getting their heads bashed in. There are arrogant, obnoxious sports fans in every town. But NOWHERE are they more hypocritical than in Boston. New England delenda est.
