I can't wait for some Jet's player to declare "We're the better team". That would be nice. I don't think smack talk affects all players the same but I think some players feed off of it.

 

We have alot to lose. This team's goal is to win a SB, anything short there will bea level of disappointment. The Pats are really good but this isn't the 2004 Pats, we can win this week. These opportunities don't come around often and we need to take advantage.

A year ago we faced the hottest team in the league in the div rd and no one gave us a chance and we won- lets do it again.

As far as Cowher- how would he know how to beat the Pats in postseason?

i dont disagree with rex alot, but if they lose this game i dont see this year as a failure.

we just got a coach, and QB who has a better record than Joe Namath in the playoffs(besides the trophy of course)

rex made this all about the SB, we made moves to win now. This team is as good as any out there. The season won't be a complete failure if we lose but it will be a disappointment to not even get back to the same stage as last year.

So Why All the Hate for Brady?

As a Pats fan, I can see why Jets' fans hate the Pats. The Pats win, they're big rivals, they beat the Jets more often than not. The hate is normal. Red Sox fans hate the Yankees for the same reason (and others). But Sox fans, by and large, don't hate the Yankee players (well, maybe A-Rod, but NO one really likes A-Rod outside NYC). In fact, most Sox fans respect the top Yankee players.

So why is it that so many of you guys practically spit bile when you talk about Tom Brady?

Is it because he is handsome?
Because he goes home to a beautiful woman every day?
Because he almost always says all the right things?
Because he is a great leader?
Because he wins and wins?
Because he never gets into crap with his coach and teammates?
Because he comes through in the clutch?
Because he will wind up in the Hall of Fame?

For a minute there, I thought I was describing Tom Brady. I just realized I described Derek Jeter.

All Jet fans hate Brady on the field, most jet fans are irrational about that hatred. I despise Brady but I understand he's the best in the game, it's hard to admit that about a div rival and the Jeter and Yanks example is perfect. let's hope this is our 2004.
