If he can't play he can't play, Wayne Hunter did a good job while he was out but this would kill our depth.
Wow that would suck. If that's the case I wish him a speedy recovery. I think you saw his knee wasn't right a few times against Indy when he gave up pressures he normally wouldn't. The way hunter played against Chicago and Pitt makes me feel confident we can overcome this loss. In fact hunter had played so well we may be better off withhim than a less than 100% woody
I'm not surprised, he looked like he was on his last leg against Indy. Hopefully Hunter doesn't get abused.
i missed this write up, that is great news to hear! hopefully hes ready next year, woody has a pretty large cap number
Yes he did, for all Hunter's failings I'm not sure I want to trust to Woody's huge heart being able to overcome the limitations of his body.
There's no way this is true. Players don't just have surgery without it being announced at least a few days in advance, and just yesterday Rex said that he expects Woody to play.
Yeah but we obviously know a meaningless game against a team that quit is very different than the biggest game of the year on the road in a do or die game. If Ducasse is on the field we are in trouble.
He likely won't be on the field, because as we all know Hunter is the backup at RT. His performance in the Bills game was much better than what we saw in preseason, so I'll take that as a positive improvement. I'm sorry if you have such a hard time recognizing such things for what they are.
I'm not sure he will be able to duplicate that success against the Patriots' perimeter pass rush as a starter but his promising play does make me think he could be used in Hunter's normal role as the #3 TE. New England delenda est.
