the jets are obviously figuring that it might help to make Brady mad. It is worth a shot, i mean they beat us 45-3 already without the trash talking. If Brady is worrying about burning Cro and not the game plan that is a good thing.
You would think by the way he talked that Antonio Cromartie was able to defend a comeback route. Probably the most overrated player on the team.
Probably first on his to do list is to make Cromartie look silly on national television and run up to his face and laugh. But then that reminds me, who will Cromartie cover again because it should be obvious to many, he wont be able to handle Branch.
Do you really think that this was a calculated move by the Jets to make Brady too angry to play? Really? What world do you live in? Are there any vacancies? This was one of our less intelligent players shooting off his mouth and really not being good enough of a player to back it up. That's all. There was less planning behind these comments than there was for the 4 kids that Cromartie fathered in 2007.
And name it Jet. Which would be his 2nd child that has that name. That would be epic. Cromartie needs a huge game Sunday. I have a feeling the defense is going to be running some hybrid coverages that take care of the TEs.
That is a great question... I'm not sure he goes near Welker because Ryan must have noticed by now he gets killed by white receivers. I mean small, shifty ones. Just thinking about it, it looks like Cro will have a difficult match up no matter what... I almost say give him Branch and let Revis take Welker out of the game.
I said this before in another thread. I feel Revis should stay on Branch and Cromartie on the TE. But I wonder who else is a sure tackler that can handle Welker? That I dont know. Maybe Wilson. I dont think Cro can handle Branch since he had trouble doing so the first time and he sure as heck cant handle Welker so the TE to me seems like a fair matchup for someone like Cromartie.
the only thing I hate is that this is all we are going to hear about between now and the game. but i guess I should be used to this considering how the off the field stuff has taken form this year.
I know a lot of Jets fans love all this talking from the coach/players, but I for one absolutely hate it. Enough already!
As Abyz said, worry about defending a comeback route so your dumb ass can get paid in the off-season. Worry about what to do when the coaching staff takes you out of bump and run and you look fucking lost. I don't mind the chatter, Brady is an asshole. But Antonio just wrote himself a big ass check he's going to have to cash especially since I expect 12 to avoid 24's side all day.
Yea, I was thinking about Cro possibly on a TE too. But a guy who already hates to be physical dealing with a TE the entire game? We could be setting himself up for disaster no matter what, his skills don't match up well against this receiving core. It's gonna have to be someone from the Wilson/Coleman/Cole/whoever else we have vying for the 3rd CB spot covering Welker, and to make it worse they will probably determine the outcome of the better for the most part.

Cromartie should just shutup. Stop talking and start making tackles. Better yet stop shying away and avoiding contact and play football like a man you friggin p&%$y. Better yet stop blowing coverages and giving up 50 yard TD's.
Well, Cromartie isn't exactly famous for his mental prowess. Funny quotes though. I think Cromartie will have better luck impregnating Tom Brady than intercepting him again. I don't think this will change anything game plan-wise other than Brady might celebrate a little more if he burns him. Hopefully we'll throw out a shit-ton of DBs and make them beat us in the running game like Indy.
I disagree with everything you said. Take away the shit talk Cro said (he only said ass, I can't count it), and he never said anything negative towards Brady. I only count 1 (only saw 1 on Hard Knocks, and he forgot the others names!) of his kids as his actual kid, so I don't think he's all that dumb either.
