Funny thing is people don't realize that the Jets PR department was not involved in the story getting out. The family of the kid are the one's who originally made it known.

Bit surprising that someone would go to all this effort without bothering to spell his name right. His name is spelt Aidan with an A, same as my name.
Doesn't matter who you root for, or what kind of QB Sanchez is or will become, he was that kid's hero. He did a GREAT thing for a kid dying of an horrific disease. I knew Sanchez met him with some other players at the Jets facility. I didn't know until yesterday that he actually went to the kids house & waited for him to wake up, just to spend some time with him. That wasn't a photo-op, that was as real as it gets. The kid obviously affected Sanchez very deeply. I am not a very emotional person when it comes to sadness, but I got choked up reading that story, actually it was the second time I read it, when I called my wife in to read it to her. That is as sad a story as there is. Poor little kid.
Win or lose, our QB made an effort to bring joy to an ill young man. Let anything the Jets do tonight give comfort to Aiden's family. Go Jets.

I was just reading Aiden's mothers journal entry at Caring Bridge and yesterday she wrote: I would also not be too surprised if a certain Quarterback finds a little soul whispering in his ear Saturday night. I thought that was a nice excerpt. It would be great if Sanchez plays lights out tonight.
