Okay, need some guidance from the Green brotherhood here. Heading down to Indy from Chicago to watch the beloved vs. the Colts - reprising the trip made last year for the AFC Championship Game. I wore my Curtis Martin jersey (green) last year (and it didn't work out for the Jets). The only other jerseys I have are Vilma (white) and Favre (white). I wouldn't wear the Favre one if you paid me - it was a gift from a buddy two years ago. So, is it acceptable to wear the Vilma jersey or is that a faux pas? Do I go back to the Curtis Martin jersey or do I simply go with my white "Play Like A Jet" shirt instead? WWGD (What Would Greeny Do?)
1. Why the fuck would you accept a Brett Favre jersey? 2. Don't wear the Vilma jersey. He's playing for a team that's in the playoffs. Don't support anyone else. 3. Burn the Favre jersey ASAP. If you feel like the Curtis Martin jersey is unlucky, don't wear it. If the Jets lose again, I'm holding you responsible.
The only suitable option is the "play like a jet shirt" Or any shirt making fun of Peyton Manning's forehead.
Any Jersey of a Jets great is acceptable at anytime; Klecko, Gastineau, Toon, Walker, Namath, Maynard, Martin etc etc Players that are no longer around; Favre, Vilma, and other douchers like that are not acceptable. IE if you bought it in the bargain bin after they were no longer Jets is ok but not a go on game day what so ever. Honestly if I were you I would head out and buy some new gear for the playoffs, start fresh with good chi.
I think it's acceptable. Friday night I'm wearing my dirty sanchez shirt. When I wake up Saturday I'll put his jersey on.
Martin is always acceptable. He played hard every single time he was on the field. If they lose you are responsible regardless of which jersey you wear.
Go buy a Gholston jersey. He's gonna put Manning in the rubber/astro/dong/blood of chinese children turf..you'll get mugged for sure if that happens. If we lose, it's your fault anyway.
My son still only wears his Martin jersey to games. No way on Vilma or Favre! I'm surprised you would even ask.
Vilma = NO Favre = HELL NO If you don't want to wear Martin, then buy another one or go without a Jersey. Before you make a decision, choose wisely. The Jets victory is depending on your selection.
