They lost a close game to the #2 seed in the NFC and they went into a place they had never won in their history with their QB "who can't play in the elements" and beat Pittsburgh. When the Jets play their A game they are every bit as good as the Pats and Colts.

I would say they weren't very good the 1st two weeks of December but they were pretty good the last 3 even if they lost a close game at Chicago. They lost that game because maybe the Bears are a better team. There's no what if's but it's one they didn't play bad in. Sometimes that just happens.

I didn't get the Chicago game, but I'm guessing the lack of pass rush and their secondary was the only reason Chicago won. Pitts was a great game, but this D, Rex' D, has given up yards in key situations. It's about to get very interesting.

The entire defense sucked against the Bears. Forte was running wild too.

It doesn't matter how you get in the playoffs, it matters how you get out.

this thread should be locked... 11 wins doesnt mean you back into the playoffs... it means you are a pretty good football team.

The media just goes with the consensus amongst their ranks. The prevailing thought is the Jets will fail. That’s the way it’s always been and this year is no difference. We will never get the respect we deserve until we break the mold of the same old jets. I believe we haven’t been the same old jets for several years now, but others don’t think so.

I would agree that 11 wins is pretty good, even if you win ugly through half of them. It isn't all luck.

Disagree on locking the thread. Nothing wrong with kicking the dead horse now and then. :breakdance:

We'll have to make the changing of champ's signature a live event for all of us to enjoy.

Where is champ this week? Amazing how even a meaningless win sends him into hiding.

I don't think the Jets were mediocre at all, I think they were inconsistent. Mark Sanchez has to get his shit together and the defense has to bring it every game, but it doesn't help that the Jets have one of the most incompetent skitzo offensive coaches in the NFL. I think the Jets beat Indy on Saturday, but if they don't it's the perfect opportunity to push Schitty out the door for good

Baaahh!! Pete Carroll's team won all the games it would take to make the playoffs. All seven of them. *snicker, snort* Be a head-shaker if they ran the table in the playoffs. I'd almost like to see it... almost.

This team gets no credit because New England Blew them out.

    The Jets five losses:

    Ravens
    Bears
    New England
    Packers
    Dolphins

All are playoff teams except the Dolphins. The Jets were in every one of those games except the New England game.

The Jets also beat New England and Pittsburgh during the regular season.
