NY Jets vs. Indianapolis Colts Thread - Saturday 1/8 8:20PM NBC

i'm very worried about schotty bringing a pussy game plan..

and the refs.

i watched the titans/colt game yesterday, and everytime a corner made a play..the colt wr would get up throwing his arms around in rage for a flag.

 

I don't understand how the Colts can feel SO confident if they barely pulled a win against the Titans...

Don't get me wrong will be a great game.

 

I was pretty shocked when I heard Indy has 17 players on IR (that number might be wrong). That is just crippling, and unfortunately it's going to play a role in this one.

 

That's like saying: "New England beat Indy and we beat New England once, but lost once, therefore we'll squeak out a win vs Indy" That line of thinking doesn't apply in football.

They're confident because they're at home, have Peyton Manning, and beat us out last year, which is understandable.

 

17 players is correct and they have had something like 77 players on roster this year.

 

Well we lost Sal the Tripper, a bottle of tanning cream, and 24x36 prints of Rainbow Unicorns.






Seriously we did lose Jenks and Leonhard to IR, but 17 is insane.

 

I haven't read anything where the Colts feel they will win and if you look at the posts from us Colts fans, we certainly aren't confident. I don't know about the other divisions, but in the AFC South, the games are always tight. These teams know each other so well, it usually comes down to who ends up maikng one more play than the other team. I think it will be close, but the lack of starters will be exposed against the Jets.

 

Exactly! Tennessee, Jacksonville, and Houston always play the Colts tough because they have done nothing but build their teams with the sole purpose of beating the Colts for the better part of the decade. They play the Colts tough, sometimes even beat the Colts but they don't compete for the playoffs because they can't beat anyone else.

And that includes big time difference makers. Bob Sanders, Melvin Bullitt, Jerraud Powers, Dallas Clark, Austin Collie as well as alot of their backups. I heard that the Colts have gone through 6 safeties this year. We have guys names Cornelius Brown and Justin Tryon starting in the defensive backfield.

 

Nativeamericanapolis's sportswriter (I think he may be the only one) lets fly with a string of Rex Ryan feet jokes, and then picks the Jets.

If Clark and Collie weren't out, the Colts would have a first round bye right now.

 

I hope we dont start off with a hurry up offense like we did against the Patriots. That shit was stupid. Like many said, keep Manning off the field and if the running game is working, especially with Shawn Greene, leave him in to keep on pounding the Colts.
