You might have added that given the aversion opponents have to throw at Revis, and the downside of opponents throwing at #3 and even lesser receivers, you would think you would have seen Cro challenged more often than he has been. Explain how those #s show he played well at Pitt? Your entire argument is off of those #s which may or may not even be correct and seeing good #s against Pitt shows how flawed those #s are. The only one being "owned" here is the one who is afreaid to acknolwedge that he was awful against Pitt despite the #s telling us otherwise. To anyone w/ eyes who understand this game it's clear as day that Cromartie has been nothing more than an average corner. keep spouting those #s, the #s tell us Ryan Fitzpatrick was good against us in Buffalo. It's hard to judge a corner on stats, just look at the Pitt example. We'd all agree he was awful against Pitt, right? The stats show he allowed 3 recs. There's a reason WSW hasn't addressed the question about the Pitt game, it basically invalidates any #s he has posted. You guys can believe what you want to believe. #s never tell the whole story, this is the same line of thinking that leads the average fan to believe peyton manning is better than tom Brady. You guys can tell me all day and post all the #s you want, watching him every play of every game I KNOW he hasn't had a good year. W/ the way rex pumps up his players, if cro was having a really good year you'd see him talking him up- how come we haven't seen any of that in recent months?
I don't know, I do know that our #2 CB play has been worse this year than last year and that is all I really care about.
There is far too much in life, in the public arena, at work too, unfortunately, of having to argue with people who ignore facts and arguments. I have little patience for it. And here's the thing - we don't have to pretend that people like junc who have no cred, who don't really discuss things in a rational fashion, deserve the respect of posts that treat them as credible posters when they are not. WSW is free of course to continue exposing junc, but imo life's too short, and this post itself would be a waste if I thought only he would benefit from it, as that does not seem possible. In the end I merely post this to at least present the position for the benefit of others that ignoring him might be the best course.
The only thing working against Cromartie coming back is price, he was damn good this year. He should be right behind Harris in priority.......
Your whole argument is based on the belief that your opinion is more insightful than anything else someone can present. Numbers are worthless & nobody else's opinion is valid. All this ranting & when pressed to list #2 CB on other teams, you draw blanks.
After seeing the turn this thread has taken I agree with this sentiment. No point in having a disagreement with someone who isn't even going to consider the points you are making. Junc is now the equivalent of a senile old man yelling at some kids in a park to me.
You honestly believe that? You think Lito played better last year than Cro did this year? Even after Revis came back Cro was on the #1 receiver many times and held his own. He's had some great moments and some shitty ones, I think we'll see the entire defense really step it up in the playoffs. If Cromartie shuts down Garcon on Saturday will you give him credit or not?

I've asked junc several times for his opinion on who would be a better #2 CB. He has refused to acknowledge the question - which is part of the reason why I refuse to acknowledge his.

My argument is based in reality and actually watching him play. Anyone watching him play cannot come away too impressed. The argument isn't about #2 CBs. when Big blocker is on your side you know you have lost. What #1s did he hold his own against besides week 2 for a half against Moss? in the rematch w/ Minny Moss got the edge in the matchup. Who are these other guys he has come close to shutting down? That is the excuse now? The reason you haven't answered my question is b/c the answer invalidates your argument. You can fool some of these other guys, you don't fool me. The argument isn't about best #2 CBs, it's about Cromartie being overrated and clearly he is w/ the way most of you guys talk about him.
I'm fine w/ him being on the team, I just don't think he is great just b/c he is a Jet. I think our D would be MUCH better if he played up to his potential.
