You beat the colts the same way you beat the pats.. You DONT GET INTO A SHOOTOUT WITH THEM.. The best way is to establish a 6-7 minute drive and keep Manning out on the bench. So yes, a conservative pound game might do the trick.
SOJF, I heard there's a few extra seats on the New England bandwagon. Peyton Manning is one of the best quarterbacks ever, but he's beatable in the playoffs, especially when he has no running game and a horrible defense.
Dude, it's the playoffs. No game is a cakewalk. Yeah, we got screwed a bit on the matchup. Whatever. We lead Indy at the half last year, and we're a better team this year and they're worse. We need to come out and play hard-nosed football, get consistent pressure on Manning, and play offense the way we have the last few weeks... and we can most certainly win and even win convincingly.
We can and it's obvious that our team is also beatable. The Colts have won their last four games, but every single one of those games has been incredibly close. They're finding ways to win, but they haven't play anyone that can run the ball like us. They haven't played anybody with corners like we have. They haven't played anybody with as much to prove. Indy's defense is undersized. Our linemen will push them all over the place. No, we don't. We need to play our style of football. We need to make them play our kind of game. They just clipped the god awful Tennesse fucking Titans 23-20 at home. Our team is miles ahead of that team in terms of talent.
I, for one, would like to see a lot of Greene running the football. I think if Schotty can call a good game we can win this game comfortably. I think we all forgot how badly Cromartie has owned Peyton Manning in the past as well.
I want Manning on crutches by the Saturday evening! Rex better have a scheme saved up ONLY for Manning (I wouldn't be surprised considering how much stock he put into beating the Colts while in the off season).
