I guess this is supposed to be a predictor of future interceptions? Although it seems pretty pointless.
Why don't you adjust his completion % and look at the amount of passes dropped he had. While you're at it, why don't we just adjust the Jets' record to 16-0 and give them the Lombardi trophy now
I knew when I read that post that you'd be ripped apart. I notice at least 1 per game that probably could be picked and usually more than 1. Once again people on this forum can't look at it objectively. Anything that could possibly be construed as negative towards the Jets is instantly attacked. That said, a lot of defenders are on that side of the ball for a reason - they can't catch like a TE or a WR. The kid's still young and if he continues playing like he did in Pittsburgh and Chicago, stats like that won't matter because the Jets will be winning a lot more games than they lose.
It is indeed what I was referring too. If anything, abyzmul hit it on the head. Just a stat to make someones argument that Sanchez sucks. The worst part about being bedridden with a really bad virus the past three days was the argument I got with a buddy of mine over facebook who said he'd take Kolb over Sanchez. Because of the chatter, the Jets hate is at an all-time high. But that's fine. As Davey Johnson once told Frank Cashen, "they don't hate the shit teams."
They should have just gotten Anji to write it. It would be a lot shorter and actually make a more salient point. "I don't like Sanchez. He pass too much!"
i'm not gonna say that he hasn't had a few dropped INTs but the problem is this is all opinion. I seen vick have 2 easy dropped INTs vs the vikes on tuesday. it happens. If this guy really wanted to make an objective view of QBs turning it over they should 1) Take away any pic that was on a perfectly thrown ball where the defender made a great play to get it 2) take away any pic that was in garbage time/desperation time of a game 3) add in a pic for a poorly thrown ball that the WR makes a great adjutment and catches it or knocks it away form the defender 4) add in a pic for any ball that a DB got 2 hands on 5) take away any that was wrestled away form a WR Then i'd be more pleased. problem is , is this guy really watching film going well i guess that coulda been picked... and counting that as an INT or is he only counting 2 hands right in the bread basket?
This stat isn't really stupid or all that "subjective." It's concerning. It's also concerning how Sanchez has thrown a pick in every single game since the Denver game (I believe). Of course not all INTs are created equally, but it's useful to know at least. EDIT: Didn't throw one in the PIT game; I forgot.
Why don't you subtract those two interceptions against green bay? Those were BS interceptions. You could do this all day.
I thought it was funny when Henne was benched in favor of Pennington and the wire coat hanger that was keeping his shoulder together.
I thought it was one of those toilet paper tubes actually. Wire hanger has too much tensile strength. lol
