"Of all our individual priorities, that might be No. 1," coach Rex Ryan said. "I'd love to see Vernon get the sack. Just for him."

Ryan said the coaches have talked about devising a scheme -- something, anything -- to spring Gholston. This would be the ideal week, considering it's not a do-or-die game. He will see significant playing time, with Ryan expected to rest his veterans in preparation for the playoffs.

wow. of course this also has to do with cap space if he gets a sack than a 9.2 mill option activates and we can release him at little to no cost.

Like it was said in another thread he'd be better if we gave him a bat and he got ejected by hitting brady with it on the sidelines.

my point is that Brady is the most Valuable player whenever he's on the field far more vital than Revis. so if both are out that's still a net gain for us.
saying gholston's wailing on woodhead with the bat that's a different story.
    also really dumb conversation.

Dear God!!! Let's focus on getting consistent pressure on the QB. Who cares about devising schemes to get an underachiever like VG a sack. With the playoffs looming, now is not the time to even be thinking about crap like that. I'm concerned about the D as a whole.

in the long run gholston getting a sack can help us get one of our studs back due to being able to refuse his option and get rid of him with no penalty.

$5,806,667 is dead money if we cut him outright if we refuse the option though we keep that as part of our cap room. (I think)

Why the FUCK would this be a top priority?

Who gives a shit if this worthless load ever puts on a uniform again? He should spend more time getting in touch with his feminine side and work on his post football career.

I figured they'd been trying all along.... Gholston is pathetic. No other word to describe that stupid, immobile block of muscle.

"That would be the perfect scenario -- win and get a sack," he said, smiling. "Maybe a couple of sacks, to make up for ..."

3 years no sacks, and hes talking about getting multiple sacks in a game.

Was one of the final Gholston supporters on the website....the guy has truly been a bust. Gave him patience, told people to be patient but its been 3 years and he has been a joke.

He can go onto have a successful career in the 4-3 for all I care, he busted HARD with the Jets and was a failure for the team that drafted him. He has SUCKED.

Don't worry, VaG will never have a successful career. There is no system, coach, team, environment etc. that will make him a non pussy.
