Is it me or has Greene suddenly come alive, the jukes and bullish running are coming back like last season. LT on the other hand is looking jaded, to be expected? I still fully expect LT to contribute post season.
Why we didn't run it with Greene when he was OBVIOUSLY playing well is beyond me, he should of had over 20 carries this game This CS is fucking stupid sometimes I swear
I agree. I think that Greene should definitely be getting more carries than he is. It surprising that LT is getting so many percentage of the carries this late in the year. Especially when Greene is running well you would think that the coaching staff would take advantage. Oh well.
Greene should have the starting job right now. He's outperformed LT as a runner and he has gained a lot of competence in the passing game. LT should be second fiddle to Greene from here on out.
Personally I feel they should of been saving LT for weeks for the playoffs. Give the guy a chance to put it all on the field since for his final hurrah at ever getting that ring.
Was saying all game that it was garbage that LT was doing horrible and that Greene should be running every time. The Jets like to make stupid moves on a regular basis.
Greene has got to be your main running back! They are not using LT in the appropriate situations! Remember when LT came in to camp and said he was ready to be a role player, a situational guy? Thats what we need to do! Did we forget about that, are we still riding high off of week 5 at Buffalo? This along with bad coaching (losing the field position battle all goddamn game, not getting a passrush) cost us the game. Its a shame because Schotty called a great game otherwise.
As long as LT is on the roster, TIBS is gonna start him no matter what. Greene could run for 150yds against Buffalo but LT will start in the playoffs. We've seen this movie before but the names were different back then.
Because Schottenheimer cannot be happy calling a game where people don't have a legitimate criticism.
The war machines built 4 the cold games late in the season. come playoff time he should get the ball 20 times a game or shotty should be hung up by his nipple tassles.
The only thing I can thinking of is that we r still saving him for tha actual playoffs. If he isn't seeing 75-80% of the handoffs come wildcard weekend I will be pissed. For now let's assume Schotty is trying to keep him fresh. Hopefully wr see a lot of McKnight next week.
I thought we really got away from using Greene in the fourth quarter for reasons idk. LT wasn't doing shit
I liked the effort I was seeing from LT, just not the production. He's done as a runner, let alone as a starter. He should be out there to catch passes, block and maybe take the occasional draw on second and long/third and short. Greene averaged over 6 YPC today. The fact that we didn't use him more proves that Schottenheimer isn't satisfied calling a game where he doesn't give someone a legitimate reason to criticize him.
LT is looking done. He gave us a good 1st half but time for Greene to take over. The fact that LT had one more carry then Greene is awful.
