First, you have to read the rule. (Was posted on nfl.com) There's a distinction between where coaches vs players can stand (which line) and a distincton between active and non-active players. The photo of the Patriots standing in a row shows nothing illegal because they are active players on the defensive unit (and noone is tripping anyone ). Secondly, what Westoff did was violate a league rule because, if the Jets had a concern about another team, they had to go to the league first wth evidence, not to the media.
First off - the Pats wall is actually a whole lot bigger/longer because not only does it include active players as you correctly state but plenty of personnel in street clothes that cannot be determined if they are coaches or inactive players due to picture quality - so the Pats are just as guilty. Second the area between the lines is designated for coaches - the Pats players in there are not waiting to come in the game they are specifically there to form the wall.
Nobody has any concerns. Westhoff explicitly stated he didn't think the Pats broke any rule. How is that remotely the same thing as having a concern?
i don't recall it having anything to do with kraft. he never filed any complaint from what i've read, it was the westoff interview that he brought onto himself with his own words. how much of a punishment can they give out for something so petty? goodell has gotten fine happy and is ruining the game.
As a fellow Pats fan, stop. You sound retarded and like you're grasping at straws worse than the Jets coaching staff trying to get out of the spotlight. Our team is about as perfect as the Jets. the difference is we stay away from the media, while the Jets bring it on themselves. Every team does shit that's illegal. Whether its the Jets, Pats, or the Lions. Who cares, get over it. The media and fans are pathetic sometimes trying to make stories out of shit that happens on every play but gets caught on camera one time.
