If we somehow got a first round bye we would be one and done.

I'm pretty sure Belichick would agree.

The only troubling thing is that 6 TD gap displayed 06 Dec.

A little advice. Don't get carried away with a win over the equally crappy Steelers team. Had Belichick demanded 60 minutes, their beating would have been even more profound than the hammering the Jest took.

Not troubling at all. The Jets played like crap that night. That will not happen a second time. The steelers made so many mistakes in their game with the pats. The steelers play a clean game and it is a different story. Typical arrogance of a pats fan.

    LOL

The only trouble is we were 0-2 in 2008 when playing NFC West teams outside of NY!!! :eek:hmy:

Then again we racked up 103 points in the two home games against NFC West that season.

Maybe we should just wait until the NY Superbowl to play an NFC West team!

"We held the Pats to 14".....in September! Uhhhh like you held the Pats to only 45 in December.

Yup, keep referencing games you lose.:eek:hmy:

Yup keep smoking that hopium.:breakdance: That's what Steeler fans have been saying after every Brady beatdown for a decade.:rofl2:

I love that about Steelers and Jest fans. The ease to confuse delusion as confidence is amazing.

Dude go away, you are embarassing yourself - a team or season cannot be defined by one game - who you are is a compilation of all of your games. The Jets may not be the defense it was last year but it is still a very good one in this years NFL and FAR FAR FAR better than the defense the Pats have.

    COMMON OPPONENTS

    Ravens against Jets 10 - Patriots 20
    Browns against Jets 20 - Patriots 34
    Buffalo against Jets 14 - Patriots 30
    Packers against Jets 9 - Patriots 27
    Lions against Jets 20 - Patriots 24
    Bengals against Jets 10 - Patriots 24
    Steelers against Jets 17 - Patriots 26

    Miami against Jets (33 in 2 games) 16.5 average - Patriots 14
    Minnesota against Jets 20 - Patriots 18

Common opponents Points against - 136 Jets (15 per game)
    217 Patriots (24 per game)

    yeah....stats are always great.

Problem is those stats can't stop Tom and his recent domination.

I can pull stats out of my ass that can make the Patriots look no better than the Lions this season. Unfortunately, the only stats that matter are W-L.

If stats are important, why not use this one?

In two games the Pats have allowed 31 points 15.5/game against the Jets.
The Jets have allowed 59 points 29.5 /game against the Patriots. Stats mean nothing

Dude your argument might be the stupidest thing I have ever read on this board.

Sorry but in statistics the larger the sample the more accurate they will be.
It is really pointless to try and use 1 game (which you are because the other game the Jets gave up 14). To say stats are meainingless is just plain idiotic. Do they mean everything no. But as the sample grows they give an accurate picture of who and what you are.

I have never said anything about Offense, which most would attribute the 45 points that the Pats score. There is not a person on the planet that would try to argue that the Jets offense is anywhere in the same league as the Patriots offense.

The Patriots defense does not play the Patriots offense, and the Jets Offense does not play the Jets Defense so sorry you can not use those games to compare the two DEFENSES.

Without questions the Jets defense in FAR FAR better than the Pats.
