Some people are just absolutely fucking nuts. And even more hilarious is when they post idiotic statements about bellicik being a "natural coach". bellicik was a terrible young coach - 13-19 his first 2 seasons as a HC.

U know, I really don't give a rats ass about him having a knack for the head coaching position or not. All I care is the team is winning. He took us to the AFCCG in his first year with a rookie QB. How many HCs, who have a "knack for head coaching position" have done that? Kindly explain.

It's bad enough we have them now and the Jets are 10-4.

Are you kidding me? So much dysfunction that they are 10-4 and headed to the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row?

Bad decisions around playoff time? We really saw that last year when the Jets were a Greene injury away from the SB.

Gone downhill? That's ridiculous. He has already won more regular season games than last year and will win at least one more if not both. All that and a much more difficult schedule this year than last as well as more crucial injuries.

Ultimately a HC is based on winning, and he has done more this year than last at the same point of time.

it isn't really about that one video for me, it's his performance overall as the head coach, which has had some disfunctional performances that we as fans really don't like to see and it brings us out to make justifications for it because he's our coach. being honest and reallistic, he's under performing as a head coach because he is not a good game manager or a good head coach when it comes to the offense.

he's still loved as the jets coach, but around the league and amongst other fans, rex is becoming a regular punch line with his game managemnet screwups and the overall disfunction junction that the jets have become this season, which is not an improvement over last year, but a down grade in reallity!

i don't enjoy seeing it, but it is what it is!

but i do and he was coaching material way back then as he is now. you have a lot to learn boy! making an honest assessment is hardly sucking up. it's more like you not liking your hero being criticized over the truth. suck it up and bear it, you can rub rex's nuts later if you wish!

So, if he was decisive and said "Run it down their throat, call it shotty" and they missed and lost the game, then what? He would be 0-3 in the last 3 games and he would had a kinky sex gate to deal with.

Nobody coaches in a vaccum. He took input and got it right in the end. Regardless as to how he got to his decision, if it was wrong either way he'd be fucked.

The point is, he took a team that was starting to spiral from two tough losses and made the necessary adjustments to beat what was considered the 2nd best team in the AFC.

Don't get caught up in the minutia of it. The ability to quickly adjust this way is the sign of a really good coach. It probably comes from his ability to adjust and create in the bedroom. So, all of it is good.

yes, shockingly he's such a good defensive coordinator he has over come. thank god for the jets, because you just know the media is looking to eat him alive for all his bravado.

when, as you say, don't give a rats ass about whether he has the head coaching ability, then there is no explaining anything to you!

^^^^Agree...Belichick was not a natural. One winning season in first 6 years as a Head Coach. Rex has more wins in two years than Belichick did in 3 years.

Year: Team: GM: W L PCT

    1991 Cleveland Browns NFL 16 6 10 0 .375
    1992 Cleveland Browns NFL 16 7 9 0 .438
    1993 Cleveland Browns NFL 16 7 9 0 .438
    1994 Cleveland Browns NFL 16 11 5 0 .688
    1995 Cleveland Browns NFL 16 5 11 0 .313
    2000 NE Patriots NFL 16 5 11 0 .313

Just how many HC's are directly involved in BOTH the Offense and Defense and are great at both? That's why there are co-ordinators! If you want to fault Rex for anything here, it's for keeping Schotty as the OC, and that I would agree with to an extent.

1st - who gives a rats ass what the rest of the league thinks of Rex? Belicheat is hated and reviled by everyone outside of NE, but do you think for a second the Cheaters fans care? Would you rather have the well liked Herm the buffoon back here and his mediocrity?

2nd - Rex more than anything is hated because of his talking crap and backing it up. Other fans are insanely jealous of him. Any team in need of a HC would hire Rex in a second.
