The Jets are playing like shit, and there's nothing wrong with being frustrated. But if you are giving up with a 9-4 record, you're a pussy. Don't let the door his you in the vagina on the way out.
I think the biggest problem this year is the lack of continuity from last year. We got rid of TJ, got rid of Faneca, got rid of Feeley, got rid of Rhodes, installed LT, installed Cromartie, installed JT, and failed to address our real problems in the draft (passrusher). The reason we don't know who we are is, we are not who we were...
A 9-4 record and 2.25 gets you a subway ride. Don't tell me not to believe what I'm seeing - I'm not blind and I've seen it all before. Only this time there is a lot of empty talk to go with it.
I'm not being a dick...seriously......but from what you've seen this year, do you really think we are a SB team? I know we looked bad at points last year and made the AFC Championship game, but we still didn't make the SB. We have beaten 1 team with a winning record. That was week 2. They responded with a 45-3 game. We responded to that loss with another TD free game at home against a mediocre team. 4 losses with no TD's this year. We scraped by against a bunch of piss poor teams. You all kill SOJF's, but blind optimists are just as bad, maybe worse.
If the Cowboys can fire Wade Phillips mid-season why can't we do the same with Schotteheimer? Our O-line coach has done the job before successfully.
The problem with this organization is that we are trying the washington redskins mantra of building- bring in numerous veterans to fill holes. That DOES NOT WORK. The patriots method? Build through great scouting and drafting the right people and letting them build and grow together. Trying to buy talent from other teams is never going to work.... the patriots do it right with stockpiling draft picks
I'm not denying they look pretty bad right now, but if they can manage to get in the playoffs, anything's possible. If we were 7-6 right now, it'd probably be over. We looked just as bad a few times last year.
We don't look like a Super Bowl team, I agree. Doesn't mean I'm going to sit home and sulk before every game with the expectation of losing. If I were a betting man, I wouldn't bet on the Jets either right now. I'm still going to keep watching and pulling for my team though. And I'll probably keep throwing shit at the TV when they screw up, but the season isn't over.
Ryan relies on people manning up and handling their own buissness, Ryan expects people to be accountable for their (players and coaches) actions. He expects that when he tells them to do something they do it. I think its more of Ryan not taking in the accountability. He clearly needs to be more hands on with his players and not just expect people to do things on their own
No the season isn't over. All the Jets have to do is pull off one win and they're in the playoffs, but the question is what the hell can they do once they get there?
It all starts with the coordinator. If you are frustrated just watching the game imagine how frustrated the players must be. That could definitely affect they focus and play. So I blame the OC only.
Maybe they play well? The one thing we can all agree on is that the Jets HAVE the talent to play well against good teams. All I can say is that shit happens.
