Is it wrong to hope that an opponents' key players will suffer injuries shortly before or during a game? :manning:
Yeah it is. i'll never root for an injury, not even tot om brady. i will however hope he gets caught smoking weed and gets suspended lol
Yes, it is wrong. And yes, I have caught myself thinking like a voodoo child. Better to win the game and take their keys away, then wishing for a broken lock when trying to shut the doors on an opponent.
Just playing devil's advocate here... something I heard on the radio today prompted my post... but don't we hope Pace or Harris crushes a QB on every drop-back pass?
Yes we do. We will all say that we don't want other teams players injured, but for some odd reason, we would chear a huge hit on other teams players. This is a question that will usually get you a false answer. We just dont want other teams key player to play regardless of the reason. I'd be happy if the opponent had a high fever for a couple of days and plays the following week. Me hoping that the players don't get injured has nothing to do with them actually getting injured so I can hope all I want, or not hope. It really doesn't make a difference, and thats where most of the posters will tell they don't hope that.
I never root for an injury to an opponent. But I wouldn't have been upset if Brady got injured after still throwing after the game was well in hand on Monday.
Didn't read the OP but if she's a 2nd cousin it's OK, anything closer than that and you better stay away.
I hear what you're saying, I think: you want to beat a team that has its best players on the field, as those wins are more meaningful. I just thought the original question was worth posing, if only to spark some fun, low-brow debate. And because I miss Leonhard, LOL.
When Leonard Marshall knocked that smarmy Joe Montana fuck into the next couple of zip codes, I was mighty pleased: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZDSS9rw3x0 Now, when Calvin Pace does that to Brady, I will be pleased also.
