Did he even play yesterday? This was the type of game where we needed that top tier #3 corner but he was no.where to be found.
doesn't Haden have like 3 or 4 INTs in his last 3 games? maybe Wilson falling to us wasn't such a coincidence after all.
Yeah, I remember justifying the Wilson pick to myself in the offseason by thinking it was directly to adress teams like NE, IND, NO, etc. Very dissapointing start to his career, but it's early.
I noticed him on the field blitzing a few times. It seemed like we were playing a lot more zone coverage than man last night for some retarded reason.
Haden is the #1 CB there bro. Wilson is playing behind the best CB tandem in the league, let him learn.
Yeah ... excellent question ... and it seems like Conner has disappeared as well. 12 games into the season and we've gotten almost no tangible contributions from our draft class. Meanwhile, Woodhead is still running with that shovel pass. WTF is going on here?
Guy has shown absolutely zero potential to be worthy of his pick status. Cannot locate the ball during coverage and just looks lost.
He is starting to seem like a mistake. I'm wondering if the cs will ever have the confidence to play him.
Sheldon Brown is Cleveland's CB1. But yes, I agree give him some time to learn. If by year 2 he still isn't seeing the field, then we become alarmed. Weird that we played so much zone last night, and still didn't see much of Wilson who was supposedly struggling in man. Drew Coleman was terrible on outrageous levels last night.
Connor has an excuse, Trich still got it. Duccasse, Wilson, and McKnight not so much. Yeah Wilson has Revis and Cromartie ahead of him, but hes also got freaking coleman and lowery ahead of him too. Hopefully these guys start developing or were gonna have some serious issues in a few years.
uhhh...Haden has only started 3 games this season (Tampa, Carolina and Miami).....how is he their #1 CB all of a sudden? He was on the bench until Eric Wright got hurt. They're relying on him now...but he didn't start out as the #1 CB, if that's what you're implying. Link to article he's also got 5 INTs already.
Where exactly would Duccasse be playing? Otherwise you're right. I'd like to see more contributions from Wilson and McKnight. McKnight showed good burst last night, hopefully they use him to spell LT and Greene a bit down the stretch. Fresh legs never hurt anybody
I'm not here to apologize for Kyle Wilson. Wilson has had some struggles early and has hardly sniffed the field for weeks. The kid is a rookie and isn't getting playing time, the coaching staff has probably lost some confidence. McCourty and Haden were thrown into the fire (no choice) and are making plays cause they're on the field, they don't have Revis and Cro on their teams. I still have faith in Wilson and he will improve, but he needs to build back the confidence of his coaches.
I noticed him pass rushing once and opening a lane for Ihedigbo to get the sack. It's not fair to compare him to the other 1st round CBs yet, he is behind the best tandem in the league....2 of the other 3 corners picked ahead of him are on the 31st and 32nd worse pass D in the NFL. The other was a top 10 pick
dude...I don't want to get down on KDub...because he's still a rookie...and gets a pass for this year. I do hope he develops into a great player. But think about this......he was benched in favor of Drew Coleman earlier in the season. Anybody with football skills should never lose a battle for playing time with Drew Coleman. I don't think Wilson has made any significant plays to date.....
Rex Ryan played zone on purpose to lose the way we did. He wanted us embarrassed and wanted the Pats to be on the high horse so we can kick their butts in the playoffs while they take us for granted.
Yeah. Apparently, Lowery was at Nickel in the preseason. Wilson got shifted to the nickel spot when Drew out played Wilson AND Lowery to become the nickel corner. And I think Wilson isn't even ahead of Lowery on depth chart, making him the 5th corner on the team.
