It's safe to say that Francesa is inconsistent in his football analysis. As you said, last year he said good defenses finds ways to win at the end of the game, now this year when defenses do exactly what he said they need to do, Francesa calls it luck.
Francesa is ridiculous. Another problem is that the Giants hardly had any close games this year. Out of all of their games, they've had no games where the final spread was 3 or less. 3 games 4-8. To add to that, the 8 point game was a game where they were up by 11, and the a FG was scored with less than 3 minutes left. Detroit never had a chance. The 6 point game they were completely dominating that game the whole time. Dallas ended up coming back near the end, and brought it within a score with less than 1 minute left. Giants get the ball back, game over, game was never in doubt. The only game that was ever in doubt was the Jaguars game. As a result, there weren't many games for the Giants to get "lucky" in that would make him look like the hypocrite that he is.
Bottom line is the guy is completely biased against the Jets for personal, stupid reasons, and he's now having to deal with the economic consequences of having acted out. And in case no one else noticed, the guy is out of touch with reality and getting worse. Last week he was 100% sure that the Chargers had already won every game in December and the Colts were a lock for the playoffs. I guess it makes sense that if you're a big dinosaur you have an asshole to match
Simms was a big Sanchez fan even before the NFL draft. Must kill Francesca to hear Simms say the Jets "Hit a home run when they drafted him."

Today is a perfect reason on how much better 1050 is then WFAN when it comes to Jet Coverage. Forget the fact that ESPN has the game tonight which is why all of the radio shows are live from Foxboro but its been nonstop Jet/Pats talk all day. I turned on WFAN during the breaks to see what hes talking, going over cowboys/colts, Giants/Skins heard him taking calls on Eli vs Peyton comparison and ther was prolly some Jeter talk in there among other things. The poster who brought up luck and the Falcons. The Falcons got back into the game with a kick return yet he probably won't call it a lucky or flukey play but when the Jets do that its not a real score. Has he even talked about the Jet game besides when Simms was on?
Except when it comes to those retards mike & mike on espn in the morning. That guy greenberg is an annoying twerp 20 times worse than carton. He gets a hardon from teasing for the next segment so you don't change the dial, but I always change the dial anyways because I just can't stand that tool
I watched the Simms interview on YES. I love Simms and I love watching Francesa squirm when he praises the Jets.
