Parcells did the right thing bolting when he did. Perhaps he saw the writing on the wall. I see threads on there like, Fire Sparano?, Draft a QB?, Goodbye to Ronnie Brown. Clean house...etc. Bad days in phins land.
Have the day off with plenty of yard work to do outside. Kick off here is at 630 so will start drinking around 400 and pacing around the living room at about 530 until the Jets put the game away. Trying not to be nervous but it will hit me like a ton a bricks so just trying to stay busy.
Hahaha. Was thinking the same thing. the f5s help to see what everyone else is thinking. There are a shit load of articles on the "clippings" section of Jets website. I am 1/4th the way through now. Between tgg, articles, and a sprinkling in of spinning up VMWare guests, I should survive to 5pm...barely.
I will go about my day and wait for the game to start. The only time I felt a void in these 11 days was yesterday, the same with bye weeks.
I've got to move a couple thousand gallons of beer into aging/serving tanks and then get ready to brew all week, so I am balls to he wall until about 10 minutes before game time. Then it's enjoying some of my hard work with a couple brewers from other local breweries and a JETS VICTORY!
After work I'm going to the gym for about 2 hours to keep me occupied. Come home, shower, eat dinner, put on my Chrebet jersey, sit in my lazy boy with a Jack and Coke and tell the wife its game time.
Well I got up and got my Jets gear on, wearing a throw back sweat, cold down here in SW FL this morning. .... Planned this a few weeks ago, took today off and tomorrow, as I would like one more day to recover either way...
Woke this morning and talked with my boys (14 and 17) about plans for the game. Meeting a fellow Jets fan at 1:00 to buy her tickets to the Bills game. She suggested 1:00 at a bar so I might be compelled to have a pint or two. Then work home by 6:00 and watch the 17 year old coach the 14 year old's basketball team at 6:30 for an hour. Put on my Mangold jersey and settle into the lounge chair with a V&T to watch the game with the boys and wife.
I have a lot of writing to do so after my class ends at 2 I am going to bury myself in that and hopefully it will make the rest of the day go by pretty quick.
Heh, I can relate. Lucky for me I have work today, otherwise I would be pretty much having the kind of day you see for yourself.
i dont think i have ever had trouble sleeping or working or going to school because of a game. maybe when i played sports but not for any pro team. in the grand scheme of things even though i enjoy watching the jets they really arent that important.
Craig Ogletree invite you? I have a big paper/project due Thursday (40% of my grade). I already did all the programming for it, just need to do the analysis. I figure I'll try my best to finish it today.
