I agree...a half sack is good enough. Just hitting and taking the QB down with the ball in his hand in some fashion is good enough for Gholston.
I think Rex will rotate a lot of defensive guys in this game, including Gholston. The reason is that I see an overprepared Pats offense carefully looking at our starters very closely. By moving around guys a lot it will be hard to gameplan against that and should create some confusion for the Pats.
So you think that Rex will do what he has done for the past 11 games and for some reason the Patriots' offensive CS is going to key on a 33 year old DE, a backup NT, and a rookie FA DT/DE, neither of whom are every-down players in this system?
If VG gets his first 'sack' Monday night, it will be in the bottom of a scrum going after a loose 'ball'.
Nah, that person will just be the asshole who happened to finally be right. If the guy makes the thread and tells exactly how it will happen maybe he would get a pass.
I can totally see this, he's been on a tear lately. In Gholston's last 8 games he's been in beast more, wracking up 2 total tackles, 1 assist, and 1 HUGE solo tackle. He's on pace to break Jet and NFL records.
I know you're being sarcastic but he actually has been playing well lately. He isn't putting up stats but he's clogging up the backfield in the running game and actually managing to apply some pressure against the pass at times.
You're right, he's been getting involved more, and he really should have a sack already after that non-call.
