Revis hasn't been my favorite player not because of the holdout per se but the afermath. He missed the Miami game which was way too close for comfort because the Jets couldn't defend Brandon Marshall and then the Minnesota game Revis looked absurdly rusty. Dude's been money since the bye tho
Besides the obvious Revis, Sanchez, LT, etc 1: ihedigbo - not sure why I just think he's awesome 2: piouha - came off the bench to replace Jenkins two years in a row and has been an absolute stud 3: brandon Moore/Damian woody - mangold and the left side of the line get a lot of attention but these guys have quietly done a hell of a job. Potential all pro seasons for both
Revis. I love everything aout him. No homo. Some knock him down a peg because he held out. I don't care. His talent and play on the field is a thing of beauty. I mean to completely shut down the greatest receivers of this generation, some potential hall of famers, is unreal. I just love that I know how great he is and nothing anyone says can ever change that. I hope he spends his entire career here, stays healthy and one day ends up in the Hall of Fame.
I'm not really sure why, but of those choices, I just get a better feeling about Santonio than anyone else. Maybe it's his late-game heroics, or awesome name, but he engenders a better reaction than anyone else, though my real favorite player on the team is Mangold. What can I say, I love pulling for the goofy white guy, and following him on Twitter, he just seems like a real good guy--even if he did go to OSU.
So true. I still feel he is the most talented player, but favorite? No way. For me probably Shaun Ellis. The Big Katt has been with us since 2000. Straight up Ballin'!
Cotchery gets some bonus points for going balls out on that catch. He's been a class act even after getting demoted from #1 to #2, then to #3 when Holmes get off his suspension. There was that ugly drop-fest a few weeks back, but given his general consistency, it's forgiven.
The obvious ones are favorites, but I always gravitate toward the unsung heroes, or soon to be heroes. I jumped on the Conner bandwagon early and think he'll be our FB for a very long time. How could you not love Brad Smith, they need to lock him up longterm. Shaun Ellis, and the token white guy, Jim Leonhard.
