I haven't heard "The Terminator" John Connor's name mentioned much since Hard Knocks. Here's hoping he makes his presence known (and felt) on Monday.
I know you mean seeing him play but, Rex called him "Concrete" on the Bengals-Jets Sound FX deal. I thought that was bad ass....
Anyone else find people saying that the Jets have a brutal December schedule...do they not look at the Pats schedule also? Both teams get Miami at home Both get Buffalo - Jets Home - Pats Away Both have Chicago in Chicago Jets play at Pitt while NE hosts Green Bay So one game difference and the Jets are the ones that have a hard road after NE
Bears are a bunch of posers, that game is a win for sure. Gay sharks are easily toast, just like the Bills. The big two are the Patriots & Steelers, those ones could go either way. Although I think the Jets win in Foxboro and lose in Pittsburgh
The Bears have a serious defense. It all comes down to what kind of day Cutler is having against them. I'm more worried of the Bears than the broken down Steelers.
Jason Taylor seems to come up big in divisional games, hes been relatively invisible on the pass rush, I expect him to have a monster game
Like you pointed out, the strip sack of Brady to close out the Pats game this year was TOP NOTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol, No shit... Taylor is banging Gisele in the ass? Fuck you Brady, you Uggs wearing bitch............
It's not so obvious to me that the OL is not going to be a factor. I am a big fan of this OL, and I diss Greene for his fumbles when he fumbles, but it's a bit of a problem that his ypc numbers of late have been average to mediocre. I don't put all the blame on him. Getting consistent yardage in the rushing game will call for consistent play by the OL, and enough yardage to move the sticks. Greene's numbers the last three do not inspire tremendous confidence in that regard.
These are interesting stats in relation to how the Jets bring the game on Monday - apologies if they've already been posted in one of the 487 other Pats threads. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/22548/patriots-d-poor-against-power-running
Game won't even be close. It's almost a joke to say that the Jets are at the same caliber as the Patriots right now. Sure, the Jets are good but they are at a B+ average compared to a stellar A+ for the Patriots. I think the Jet fans are forgetting who is actually leading the Patriots; Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, one of the most successful duo's in NFL's history. Do you REALLY think that Belichick will let a team beat him twice in one year, when the game is at home? Bill is a coaching genius and one of the best ever. Just look at stats. How can the Patriots be ranked 32nd defense but have the best turnover ratio and have the best record in the NFL? What coach has done that in the past decade? Very few. Jets have a very talented defense but their offense is pitiful compared to the Patriots. It's almost a no-brainer to say that the Patriots will easily win come Monday night, and maybe by excess of 10+ points. Once Sanchez has won a Superbowl, and not a couple of CHEAP wins by below-par teams that should of easily won, come talk to me Jets fans. A team will go only as far as their QB will take them. A few of you might reference when the Jets beat the Patriots earlier this year and I say this to you: The Jets played very well, coming back after the first half but the Patriots offense was not even close to the caliber it is now. Since then, the Patriots have beaten the Steelers, Ravens, and Colts. If my memory serves right the Jets lost to the Ravens and haven't beaten a "good team" since the Patriots. You guys barely got by Detroit and Houston, which are one of the worst teams in the NFL.
its going to be a lot closer than you think, imo. in the nfl, you can blow out whomever, yet still lose to the browns. teams come and play on any given sunday, so the "you barely beat a team you should beat" argument is suspect at best. i know you understand, because cleveland says hi. the jets are better in pretty much all areas except QB and arguably TEs. so to think this is going to be a blowout is crazytalk.
Swifty, please tell me how "SpyGate" gave the Patriots 3 Superbowls? Really like to hear how you can explain this. Really, go right ahead. I dare you. Ever heard of a huddle? Yuo do know that the Jets practiced this pre Belichick right? Spygate means nothing lmao. You are really ignorant to bring up that excuse.
