The Jets will be able to do pretty much whatever it wants against that defense. They are now DEAD LAST in the NFL against the pass and not too good against the run either. This game is being built up to be more than it will turn out to be. Brady will be harrassed all day, he'll be lucky to put up 2 scores against this defense, and the Jets will ring up like 30 to 35 against that putrid D of theirs. CASE CLOSED.

They don't have a chance in hell of beating the Jets and they know it... That's why Brady hates this team, because he knows we have his number. The Jets will be so keyed up for this game it's gonna be sick. Brady is gonna have himself a long evening up there on Monday Night.

    Different Ryan, Same Results...

If you wanna know what the result of the Jets-Pats game is gonna be just take a look at the results of the Cleveland-Pats game... Rex and his brother fought it out to the last play of overtime when we played them. The two styles are very similar.

The Pats are going to find out that whether it's Rob Ryan or Rex Ryan the result is going to be the same. The Pats don't match up well here, and they will get the same as they got from the Browns, A BEATDOWN.

That would be me. I was referring to the OL being banged up in the Texans game. I appreciate the Jets ran for lots of yardage against Cincy, but those numbers were helped a great deal by Smith's 53 yard run. Cincy btw is 23rd against the run.

And while the Jets are ranked second in total yards rushing, their ypc number at 4.5 is more like tied with three other teams for sixth, and is skewed by several great games early in the season that LT had. Greene, who many hope will shoulder more of the load now, averaged 3.6, 2.8 and 3.9 the last three games.

Woody came back after taht leg injury, but I don't think he's totally healthy. Slauson is probably the weakest starter on O.

So yeah, I do have some concerns about the OL in the running game right now. I am not predicting they will fail, but complete confidence in them is imo not warranted at this point.

In other words, I don't think I deserved your sarcasm. It must have been because of something else...

so....I should be expecting a 34-14 win over the Patriots because Rex and Rob are similar.

Actually they are 16th against the run, which is fwiw much better than their pass D.

I expect the Jets will try to establish the run because that's what the Jets normally do and also to keep the ball away from Brady. But the Pats' relative weakness at pass D is a competing consideration arguing for testing that secondary.

lt likes to have big games against the pats.

the jets have accumulated the second most rush yards in the game.

damian woody is back, he played fairly well against cincy, and was still questionable all week.

obviously we could be better and shonne greene needes to step it up, but the ol isnt going to be a factor in the game.

If you wanna know what the result of the Jets-Pats game is gonna be just take a look at the results of the Ravens-Pats game... Rex and his former team fought it out to the very end in a one point game when the two played. The two teams are very similar.

When the Pats played the Ravens they played a close game and stifled the Ravens powerful running game to less than 3.0 yards per average and 0 TD. They were able to stop the Ravens high-powered offense in 3 separate overtime drives and eventually win with a field goal. The same will happen this week.

BTW don't take this post seriously, I am simply trying to make the point that individual comparisons mean absolutely nothing when it comes to predicting the future. No team has performed well consistently this season, including both the Pats and Jets.

the jets d has played consistently well, if you base it off the fact that in both losses they only gave up one touchdown, and have won every other game

    :)

    edit for memory lapse

No, no... You missed it. He had AbdulSalaam as his avatar.

The same avatar that AbdulSalam has.

It was going to become an issue... He changed it to Westhoff and I couldn't be happier..

LOL at TGA's Burl Ives avatar.:rofl::rofl:

    Wow, Patsfans is a joke.

I got permabanned for being a "troll" when all I did was talk football in a respectful way.

I've been around long enough to know what a troll is, and I was in no way one.

They can't take a difference in opinion on that board, it's sad.
