But there's no way the Pats score 45 points against the Lions without Woodhead's 40 total yards! And he has heart grit!

Now THAT'S some good sarcasm right there.

when you state the obvious as if it is insight and then make ridiculous correlations where there are none, you get venom. welcome to the internet.

You have to admit though, not many other organizations would have gotten that much out of woodhead. The jets couldn't apparently.

That has been discussed numerous times.

On the flip side, something that self hating Jets fans would never bring up, how many teams would have LT playing like he has this year?

They are too busy worrying about the 3 special teams tackles Woodhead would have if he was still on the Jets to answer your question objectively.

I can't wait for the first Jets LB to get up off Woodhead's rumpled body and say "Welcome home Danny...".

    Napoleon he is not.

Can we please stop with this Woodhead nonsense??????? Where/when does he see the field for the Jets this year? Who sits? Tomlinson? Green? Richardson? Connor? Does Woodhead return punts?

Let's face it. Sometimes the personnel on one team means a player has no role while he finds one with another team. Is there another team in the league that has a more messed up unsettled RB situation than NE? Maroney was ineffective and traded. Morris got hurt. Taylor got hurt and is 100 years old. All that was left was the Law Firm and opportunity. So from that standpoint, Woodhead made sense. And he fits the Pats offense of a non-existent power running game and the use of short passes. He was not a fit here.

He is gone. He may have a great game Monday night and score a TD or something, but it does not change the above. Give it a rest.

    seriously.
as you, WSW, and countless others have explicitly spelled out; woodhead wouldn't have seen the field this year for the jets. if it weren't for the situation you mentioned with the pats RBs, he probably wouldn't see the field there either. he's a 3rd team RB playing his freakin' ass off. you wanna salute the effort/heart/whatever.. go for it. hell i'll probably agree there. but to whine and moan about him not being here, or to think he's gonna be some sort of emmit smith against us is silly.
