    IMHO ...

We faced 2nd and 10 or more, 5 times in the first half.
You know how many times we passed in that situation? ... 1 time.
Against a team that has ZERO pass rush.
    Absolutely ridiculous.

We ran it 4 times for almost nothing ... faced 3rd and long and punted 4 times. The 1 time we actually threw the goddamn ball we completed it for 23 yards.

I'm not one of these "fire Schotty" guys ... but come on.
I'm all for passing on 1st down, but if it doesn't work then you MUST pass it again on 2nd down ... at least some of the time.

    Hence ... 3 points.

Schotty is horrible. Glad im not the only one that notices his trends. He is becoming the next Paul Hackett with his playcalling predictability.

2nd and 26 calls for a wildcat run, right?

Brian Schottenheimer still can't call a game.

Yeah, basically he told Sanchez he had no confidence in him and was going to punt it away.

I will flip it we were in 2nd and 10 becuase we threw it on first down rather than ramming it down their throats when it was obvious we could run on them right from the beginning.

Like I said ... I normally don't mind his playcalling ... but toight I was getting pissed.

We just passed the damn ball for 900 yards the last 3 games, and he's running on 2nd and long the entire 1st half! What was he thinking???

I'm not sayng dont run the ball.
What I am saying is ... if it's an obvious passing down ... and they have no pass rush all year ... and our passing game has been on fire ... then pass the ball on 2nd and long.

After we convert a couple of first downs in a row on the ground we need to go play-action. Once we ran it for the 3rd time in a row on 1st down and got stuffed, I knew something bad was about happen. Of course, Sanchez got picked off on the following play.

Or maybe he liked his chances with Brad? He did take it to the house few touches later didn't he? Maybe these coaches know a little bit more than we do? U guys sit here n bitch about how this is a running team, n if we had passed more on second down, u still would have bitched why we just didn't run and made it a manageable 3rd down.

I almost never complain about play calling. If the execution is good, it will make the play calling look genius n everyone would be like "wow, Schotty has guts to call a running play on 2nd n 26 that resulted in a TD."

The run game was working. If we had passed more often, you'd be out for Schottys head. Either way, Schotty gets crucified even though we won the game.

Im sorry but with all the talent we have on offense and we have this much trouble in the red zone and the first quarters, if you dont think shotty should hold a lot of the blame, then you need to take off those green shades. Yea if people execute better it makes him look like a genious but that is not what a good offensive coordinator does. A good coordinator puts his players in a good position and makes them look good.

Sometimes you need to pass to setup the run, schotty kept trying to run first, no matter the situation. I like the idea of going totally against tendencies, in terms of against the Pats, I would come out shotgun four wide and run some no huddle.

The thing that infuriates me about the guy is that I've seen him run some really clever packages that make good use of his players' talents. What kills it is his reliance on motions and repetitive running plays which completely ruin the mojo on offense. He's honestly at his best when he calls a 50/50 gameplan, keeps the system simple, and lets Sanchez do his thing.

He really, really needs to abide by the KISS principle - Keep It Simple Stupid.

And on another note, what would it realistically take for the guy to get fired?
