If the Pats beat us next week ... we could be playing on the road the first week of the playoffs. Most likely against the AFC West or AFC South winner, since the AFC East and North winners will probably be the #1 and #2 seeds.

I hope it doesn't come down to that, but here's the question ...

The Colts and Chargers play eachother on Sunday night, and neither will make it as a Wildcard. A loss by either one will make it hard for them to win their division and make it easier for the Jags or Chiefs to make the playoffs.

    So ...
Do we root for the Chargers and hope that the Jags win the South ... but risk playng in SD.

Or do we root for the Colts and hope that KC wins the West ... but risk playing in Indy?

For me ... I hope the Chargers get the Colts out of the way. I don't need to see Manning in the Playoffs again.

Hope the Raiders win their division and beat the Patriots while we're on a bye.

I would much, much rather play the Chargers, Jags, or Chiefs in round 1 than the Colts. But let's just beat the Pats, and problem solved. :)

How can you not root for the Chargers here? The Colts we all know are the last team we want to see in the playoffs as opposed to the Chargers who we are 2-0 against in the playoffs. The Chargers even with a loss will probably win the division anyway.

Personally I don' care quite as much as everyone else if we have a 1st round bye or not. We are GREAT on the road and the team we would face would be probably the 2nd easiest opponent of all the playoffs.

    I want the Colts.

The Chargers have Gates and we cant stop a TE for our god damn life.

And Rivers by far has been the best QB in the nfl this year. And thats without having VJ, or any healthy WRs and a banged up Gates.

Can we beat either team definitely, but right now the Colts are DEFINITELY the weaker team.

I'm not trying to argue with you again but don't forget about Jacob Tamme. He has been possibly the 2nd best TE behid Gates since he's started.

Gotta take it with a grain of salt.

    Vs Houston (31st pass defense)
    Bengals (have no secondary)
Pats (mostly in garbage time and they have no defense)
    and vs Eagles.

I think its more so the Peyton Manning effect than Tamme himself.

But id like to see how he does in some decent matchups.

I'm sure you're right. Of course it's the system but he still has to make the catches and cuts. I'm sure he'll remain a solid option and if we had to face them he would tear us up.
