Just told my wife about this & of course she used it to remind me of how awesome she is. (she suprised me with DirectTV this summer).
The Jets/Houston game wasn't on local TV, so I watched online with a feed from Europe. There was only sound from the crowd (which was GREAT the last 58 sec) and the Ref's. The only thing I missed was the announcers explaining penalties/challenges. It was a refreshing way to see/hear a game without all the mindless chatter.
This is a really cool idea. Rex will have the censors earning their money that is for sure. It will be like sound fx for the entire game. They should release an uncensored version. That would be even better.
For me the best part is that they'll have 60 NFL Films cameras doing the game.....more than they had for last years SuperBowl. And the NFL Films SuperBowl specials are generally as good as it gets...
The Original Announcer-less game was a December 1980 game when the Jets played the Dolphins at the Orange Bowl in Miami
Yeah, it was great watching without the announcers. The naked chicks in the czech commercials were also a highlight.
what website did you watch the stream on? lol i was watching a feed from the UK and they had these 2 english-men doing commentary during commercials and whenever Gumbel would say "back to James Brown for a gamebreak" ...long story short, hearing english-men talk about American football when your stoned out of your mind is freakin' hilarious...i was so glad i found that stream, quality was perfect too
Too bad we cant have an announcer less game on Thursday. Anything beats listening to Thiesmann and Millen. I think getting caned in Singapore would be more fun.
Haha, Kevin Cadle is American. Nick Halling who fills-in the game breaks is definitely English though.
SkySports, probably. I love it when SkySports streams are up. Some pretty good commentary during ad breaks. Anyway, all cable games are broadcast on over-the-air TV in the team's region, for those who are still unaware.
Looks liek ATDHE.net isn't carrying this for whatever reason (i dont even see NFL network on there) is there anyway i can get a stream for this thing, or maybe someone to upload a file?
