Sacked henne, closed out the pats game sacking Brady and got us the ball back against the browns by beating Joe Thomas All this while playing a lot of time on 3 man lines ... I'd say he's done a fine job
He beat a FB to sack henne we were up 14 late against Brady He didn't beat Joe Thomas. Watch the play again. he did nothing special on that play, it came to him. I have loved his play against the run but as a pass rusher he has not done his job. basically he made one semi-big play all year in the NE game when we were up 14 pts. It's not the lack of sacks, it's the lack of pressure and disrupting the QB.
I'm not trying to insult anyone but I question what people know about this game if they think taylor has been performing well as a pass rusher and if they think those plays were big plays that he made. He has one semi-big playa aginst NE- THAT'S IT. What he did against cle was a situation where the QB was just trying to get to the ground out of the EZ to keep the clock moving.
We did this last week. You keep putting words in my mouth. I never said it was a big play or something special. He made the plays and they were all positive. They were good plays that's it. I don't know why you insist on making that an argument.
The point is he has not done a good job as a pass rusher which is what he was brought here to do. I keep seeing people(not you necessarily you) trying to tell me he has made a bucnh of big plays and that just isn't the case. Am I giving up on him? No, am I saying he sucks? No. He's done a good job against the run but again that was not the reason we brought him here. As a pass rusher he has been a flop SO FAR.
I agreed with you then and I'll agree with you now that he hasn't been as good as many hoped he would be. He has made some good plays in pretty big spots so I wouldn't call him a flop but that's in the eye of the beholder.
