He's missed more then Folk, why? His home field is grass, and he sucked their, if he was solid on grass maybe.
I still want to know who we are supposed to cut for kicker competition. What a ludicrous idea. Good lord.
He's been worse this year only. Reed had been one of the more consistent kickers in the league for years. You trying to tell me that Folk has had a better career than Reed? YA LAWST!!! yoose yoor noggin
I like how everyone forgets that Folk is pretty much the reason we won the Minnesota and Detroit games, and he didn't even cost us the Cleveland game. Where is the trashtalking forum?
If you dont think Reed is a good kicker, I don't know what to tell you. He's been one of the most accurate and clutch kickers in the league for about 7 or 8 years. He has been awful this year, granted, but maybe a change of scenery is what is needed. All that being said, I wouldn't give up on Folk. Another bad game and you have to think about replacing him, though.
Who cares about career number? Reed sucks NOW. Thats why he got fired. Folk is better NOW than Reed is. Terry Bradshaw had a better career than Sanchez. But that doesn't mean I want to hire Terry as my QB.
It's nice to know he's available in case Folk continues to struggle, but it would be foolish to bring him in at this point.
I am not sure what your point is. Nobody is debating Reed's career. Who GAS about Reed's career. The Bottom Line is that he sucks now and has been cut for that reason. He is not a good FG kicker now. He was good in the past - BFD. Nobody cares about what he did 2 yrs ago. Got it?
Reed looks completely out of shape and I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with his shitty kicking. He looks a little like the Pillsbury doughboy now.
and in 2008 when Folk hit 90.9% of his kicks and Reed only made 87.9% of his. So Folk has been in the league for 3 1/2 years and has been better than Reed in 1 1/2 years of that time. Lets assume he continues to be better than Reed this year since Reed isn't on a team and Folk is and we have Folk being better for 2 years and Reed better for two years. If we take into account the fact that Folk was playing with an injured hip last year it starts to look Folk may actually be better. At the worst they are both pretty good kickers and the comparison is a wash. As far as you blowing Reed for being consistent, he has one great year at 92% a bunch of pretty good years in the 82-89% range and 3 clunkers ranging from 68% to 75%. Conclusion. All kickers have their ups and downs and Reed at best would be similar to Folk.
LMAO! How great will it be, if the guy that replaces Reed can't get used to that $#ithole he kicks in, and costs them a close game or two. I mean, lets be real...cutting the kicker after the Pats came in and basically ate your lunch in front of God and everybody seems...a little absurd...especially considering how difficult it is to kick there in the first place. Write that down. Suisham is the replacement.
If we drop Folk he will be picked up by Patriots and will be putting them through the uprights against us. Have you ever missed a 2 foot putt, and then sliced a couple of drives in the woods? Relax, he will be fine. At least he was consistent in missing to the right.
So you want to sign the kicker that missed easy kicks to replace our kicker who missed some easy kicks? #makesperefectsense
Those pictures make me think of Reed as the kicker from the replacements. I wonder if he has ever kicked a field goal while taking a drag off a cigarette..
