That wasn't just here. I watch the games with 100+ Jets fans every Sunday, you should have heard the derisiveness towards Revis. I almost got into a fist fight with a douche that was screaming Revis sucked. Not a minute later he made an interception. ...................I know you will find this difficult to believe but I made a sarcastic comment...... "How do you like him now, Should we trade him?" Lol ,Guy freaked because the entire corner where I hang was dying, just laughing at that douche.

Jets fans from cell block D, gotta love them.

Edit: Revis started out not turning his head like Wilson. No disrespect to KW but Revis was a more polished player entering the NFL. He was a little better than average from the get go. IMO

Hopefully he is better than he was the first few weeks of the season

What I remember about revis his first year was that he had good coverage but didn't play the ball well and the receiver would win and come down with the catch. The difference from one yr to the next was pretty significant

The thing that disturbed me with Wilson was that our nickel and dime backs are not much to brag about and over the last few games he barely sniffed the field. You also never can believe Rex. He so positive that he makes guys like gholston and McKnight sound like they are about to be all pro so you don't know if Wilson has improved or if that is just ryan trying to build him up. I am in agreement though that wilson just has to play to get better and if he struggles covering teams third receivers then we may need tp live with it for the benefit it will provide in the future. I mean he can't play much worse than Coleman played last wk

Wilson suffers from the same problem that most championship level team draft-picks suffer from. The team wants to finish with a great record to ensure the playoff games are @ home. Veteran players with shorter ceiling but less prone to make mistakes are preferred in these situations. Wilson has a shorter leash & will struggle to get the the playing time he needs to fully develop this season.

Sucks for Wilson but you can't blame Jets for thinking this way.

My hope is that Jets can lock up the #1 seed with a game or two left & then they can throw Wilson out there & give him the entire game from start to finish. If the Jets are somehow locked into a playoff spot & can't move up or down w/ winning or losing then Wilson will surely get the playing time on field.

After reading both your posts I had to laugh. Definitely made that post a lot longer than necessary.

The only time I have even seen him is making that 3rd down tackle which means he hasn't gotten beat in coverage at all today. Nice game for him.

I think he got beat once, but that was because the safety was supposed to be their but still very good.

That tackle was both textbook and clutch.

    Wilson was awesome Sunday.

Didn't really allow anything, and made 2 great tackles...including that huge one on 3rd down.

    Also had a nice PR

I think the best thing that came out of this game will be Wilson's confidence boost. Had a huge tackle on 3rd down and a nice punt return on that slow field. After his first few games in coverage and him coughing up the ball on punt returns he seemed like he second-guessed himself a bit.

I'm hoping he has his coming out party this weekend against the Texans

I think his tackling was the best part of his game on Sunday, and I don't mean that as a knock on his coverage. He did a great job of keeping the WRs on the short side of the first down markers.

With a little more time, we're going to see a lot of improvement out of him, as well as the other rookies. Patience will prove this years draft was worth far more than their first year production.

That would be nice, but I'm not counting on it for several reasons. Schaub is a very good QB, our pass-rush has been sorely lacking, and Houston's WR corps is talented.

I'm not saying Wilson will have a bad game; I'm just not expecting anything big from him against that Offense.

Without a shadow of a doubt, this kid's going to be good. Why? I just love the way he tackles...

Revis as a rookie was MILES ahead of Kyle Wilson as a rookie. During Revis' Rookie season he collected 1 of the only 8 interceptions Tom Brady threw that year. He held down Terrell Owens (y'know when he was still above average). He held Randy Moss without a touchdown in the second game vs the Patriots, in a year when Randy broke the TD record with 23. Was tied for fifth in the League with 17 passes defensed AS A ROOKIE! The NFL leader had 21. Revis had a heck of a rookie year for a CB. I believe he's a once-in-a-generation talent.

Wilson will be fine, we just need to give him time to mature

Wilson was really good, I only saw him make a 3d down tackle, but that means he was on his man the whole time. But even if Wilson develops and becomes a good cornerback, I still think we should keep Cro for a 4-5 year deal, that duo of Revis and Cro is awsome, though i love Wilson, i'd like to see him more at nickle back where he's really succeeding.
