This. Mangini was simply the scapegoat for the collapse, he's a solid coach. Your last point is moot, though.
Love him or hate him, but Mangini kicked the bejeezus out of hobo billy today. The Browns played like a pack of angry dogs today. Mangini is certainly doing something right.
It's not bent logic because woody was looking for a personality that was the exact opposite of mangini. The contrast between the two is a big reason Rex is here today
Mangini is a good coach, and he is getting better. I think he'll keep his job in Cleveland after this season. That said, I'm much happier to have Rex.
Peyton Hillis ate Mangini's lunch in 2008 when we played the Broncos, and I was totally unsurprised when Mangini traded for him. I wanted us to get Hillis as well, but I think I'll settle for LT. I really want the Jets to punch Cleveland in the mouth next week. The Jets came out soft yesterday and the Lions were kicking them around, they can't come out of the tunnel like that next week, or any other.
Thanks Eric...just please don't take this @$$ whoopin personally. Hopefully our CS is digesting some of that game film, to see what inside knowledge of keys Eric used against them. That Handoff to Stuckey was great.
You have to give Mangini his props, he's a better coach than a lot of people give him credit for. He went down with the Favre ship here, worked out well for us but I can't say that year was all his fault. I love to see him beat Belichick, I switched over to that game just to see the handshake as it was ending. He's beaten New England three times now, that's not bad at all.
