Well I am stuck here in New England watching the Pats-Browns game... just after Cleveland's defense picked off a pass at the end of the game they gave Mangini a gatorade bath... like he won the Super Bowl or something. And maybe for him, winning a Belichick match up is as good as a Super Bowl for him.

Game over... looks like Bill may have even said a few words to his protege... lick my balls??

I know a lot of you still hate Mangini, but I just can't. I know he still has a way to go learning to be a head coach, but I'm pulling for him to make it. If for no other reason that he's been a bit of a pebble in Belichick's shoe. That always tickles me.

Yeah, I was kind of down on the shower. It was a great win but it seemed kind of... juvenile? I don't know exactly.

Still it was a huge win for Mangini - two weeks ago, the general consensus among the fanbase was that he was almost guaranteed to be gone. We had several threads on different coaching candidates. So in that sense I kind of understand it, the players knew they basically saved their (beloved?) coach's job with this game.

His players like him... I think that is a good sign overall. The Browns have had a number of issues before Mangini coming and they weren't going to be able to turn it around quite that fast. With Holmgren there I think it is a good combo and with a little more patience Cleveland can be tough again.

It's a good sign his guys like him but a gatorade shower for winning a week 9 regular season game? And don't compare this to when the Jets doused Taylor.

I said its a good sign that his players like him... I think the bath was a bit over the top to be honest.. and if you asked Mangini I think he'd readily agree. He looked annoyed at first before cracking a smile that they did it.

Yeah I wasn't calling you out, my bad if it seemed like I did. I was just saying if somebody compares it to the JT thing than that wouldn't make any sense

Brian Daboll is doing pretty well with that McCoy kid.

I knew he'd be a good OC because he was a smart QB coach.

Is Daboll the OC? I was wondering who was cause I thought they did a pretty good job. I especially liked the gutsy 4 and inches call to go for it late in the game. They set up with a lone RB in the backfield, switched to a spread offense set, then QB sneaked it.

McCoy did look pretty good too. This team is finally showing some upside.

Mangini's diet secret is apparently Red Man all game long. It looks like he lost about 100 pounds.

I didn't hate Mangini, but his coaching style and personality didn't fit well in NY. Which lead to a lot of frustration for the fans.

I'm glad he got to beat his former mentor turned nemesis.

Hopefully he doesn't feel the same about the Jets (although I think we know the answer to that with all of the generous trades the between the Jets and Browns).

Noticed that too. He's looking pretty good. Happy for that given his family history too. Better for him and his family. NFL has to be a tough enough job with the stresses.. not being healthy in mind and body can't help you.

He got a gatorade bath? I thought every single one of his players hated him

Good for EM. I wish him luck in the future (excluding next week). And fuck Belidick.

Can't compare it to the JT one because Mangini didn't get hit in the face with the gatorade jug.

Well hopefully we got out hiccups out of the way between the Lions and the Packers. Need to go back to kicking ass football. Within the league rules of course... are we converting to 2-hand touch yet?
